87168 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 another notch in the "why Tom Hanks is my favorite actor" column.
3rdand12 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 that was excellent. Tom Hanks is has some great wit thanks for the chuckle : )
Nanker Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 He's the type of stepdad who'll say, "are you trying to tell me you've never fired a crossbow?"
BUFFALOKIE Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I've never seen Tom Hanks do any kind of stand up/improv. That was pretty funny. "Honey, go set up some hey bales in the back yard".
YoloinOhio Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 I've never seen Tom Hanks do any kind of stand up/improv. That was pretty funny. "Honey, go set up some hey bales in the back yard".i don't think I have, either. The man has many talents!
BUFFALOKIE Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 So, Rex would be the coolest step dad. I can see that. Absolutly!
Deranged Rhino Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I've never seen Tom Hanks do any kind of stand up/improv. That was pretty funny. "Honey, go set up some hey bales in the back yard". Check out the '80s gem PUNCHLINE, it'll make you look at Forrest Gump a bit differently. At least the Sally Fields / Hanks relationships. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095927/

Shouldaplayedflutie99 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I guess I'm in the minority, but I didn't think that was funny at all... Actually made me like tom a little less
Thurman#1 Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Check out the '80s gem PUNCHLINE, it'll make you look at Forrest Gump a bit differently. At least the Sally Fields / Hanks relationships. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095927/ I thought the movie was OK, but the standup was the weakest part. They wanted him to write his stuff himself, in a few months of hitting clubs with a standup advisor. And that's kind of what it looked like when he was supposed to be a really good standup in that movie. Disappointed me. not the best impressions but funny enough Weren't impressions, really, but I thought the Rex and Coughlin ones were really funny.
ExiledInIllinois Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) I've never seen Tom Hanks do any kind of stand up/improv. I would expect this from the youngins... But you aren't that young. Don't you remember his early years? Didn't he get started in stand-up/improv? He's just going back to his roots. Edited February 15, 2015 by ExiledInIllinois
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 And Marrone would be the alcoholic, not-coming-home every night, verbally abusive step dad who leaves your mother for a 370 lb balding female trucker, with acne. No hard feelings, Doug.
