vorpma Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Pass gas? Yea nobody wants arguably the best regular season qb in the history of football Great Post!
fansince88 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 How many bad weather games were in Buffalo last year? The worse one was in Detroit against the Jets. I had tickets for that one.
Mr. WEO Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Let's acquire Manning...and then trade him to NO for Brees! I've neatly tied 6 threads into one!
YoloinOhio Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Can we merge into the other Manning thread?
bbb Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Can we merge into the other Manning thread? Is that one about Archie?
truth on hold Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) Denver was already a playoff team when manning joined them. In fact in his first year he did no better than tebow year before ...losing in the divisional round. It would take him at least a season to adjust to bills personnel and coaches. That next season where improvement could start being seen he'd be 40 years old! FORTY YEARS OLD for a guy that's already in physical decline. Not to mention FORTY MILLION DOLLARS in cap space too. His best place is Denver for one more year before calling it a career Edited February 16, 2015 by JTSP

truth on hold Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) It would take a full year to improve our roster of adding him? That's what I think. And that's best case given his age and declining physicality. You think otherwise ? Edited February 16, 2015 by JTSP

Which is to say, it's ridiculous.
peterpan Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Guys, if we wanted Peyton, and he is worried about the elements, then the NFL will just give us away game in December. At Miami, At Tenn. They will do the London Game in late Nov. They will play into our hands if we land Peyton.

But you know damn right well that the last game of the year, if not in Buffalo, will be in Foxboro.

His best place is Denver for one more year before calling it a career Revisionist history. Broncos had a fine defense, but JESUS led them to the promised land in spite of Tebow. His insane OT TD toss in the playoff vs Pittsburgh was more divine intervention and a couple months later, Timmy was licked to the curb. Manning did everything in his incredible power to beat Baltimore in his 1st playoff game in Denver, but he didn't play DB -and that's why Denver lost.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Play one more season somewhere and then perhaps become a regular on SNL.

You know....if you repeat something enough, it becomes the truth....right? Look up all of the records set in that game. Divine intervention....Jesus H Chris! If the Broncos had such a great defense, why did they suddenly turn their attention to bettering the defense right after Peyton flamed out at the very same spot that Tebow did.....except Manning lost a playoff home game. All that said, Manning still took the Broncos no farther than Tebow with a much better roster. As opposed to trading away the best receiver on the team, Horseface Elway brought in everyone and anyone to give Peyton all of the tools and all of the playcalling freedom he needed...AND....didn't allow Fox and Gase to call RUN RUN, oh crap PASS on 3rd and long for the first 3 quarters of every game. Spin it, opine or just flat out lie about it, doesn't change the facts.
NoSaint Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 That's what I think. And that's best case given his age and declining physicality. You think otherwise ? yea, i think otherwise, after watching him play and kyle orton play. if you think the best case for manning would be that in a year under perfect conditions he might surpass the Orton/EJ season of 2014, we simply disagree. sure there are adjustments, but to a degree, football is still football. and 7 months is a whole lot of time.

Garranimal Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Manning would know more football than any coach on the Bills staff. He should, his head is larger than any two on the coaching staff. No wonder his neck is f'ed up, can you imagine trying to hold that thing up everyday?
