GaryPinC Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 As nature intended with a gun? Nature and evolution bestowed mankind with the ability to create everything we have put on the planet.
Just in Atlanta Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Nothing against hunting if you're going to use the meat, but something seems wrong with sniping a buffalo.
TheFunPolice Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Lots of vegetarians on this board! Â I'm surprised.
Jim in Anchorage Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Lots of vegetarians on this board! Â I'm surprised. don't be, Gene pops in anytime guns or God is mentioned. He feels the moral high ground is to let the pros do his killing for him so he is not to blame.
JohnC Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I've never had Buffalo meat. If anyone has is it good or distinctive in taste? I'd be very interested to know.
Jobu Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I've never had Buffalo meat. If anyone has is it good or distinctive in taste? I'd be very interested to know. Â Â It's good. I know when I am eating it. Not sure if you would if someone did not tell you ahead of time. It's not gamey like an old deer can get. Very lean.

Augie Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) I've never had Buffalo meat. If anyone has is it good or distinctive in taste? I'd be very interested to know.Yes, it is good, not gamey and relatively healthy for you. My wife's doctor is actually the one who turned her onto it. She gets the organic stuff and it ain't cheap! EDIT: I just looked. A 12oz package is $9.99. Mr. Kelsay seems to have stumbled upon another fortune! That's a big beast! JohnC Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 both good and distinctive! Thanks for the info. I've got to try it. If I'm not mistaken Ted Turner was raising Buffaloes to sell to his restaurants.
NickelCity Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Nothing against hunting if you're going to use the meat, but something seems wrong with sniping a buffalo. Â I don't like canned hunts, but I'm sure he harvested the meat. Bison is some of the finest red meat bar none.

judman Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Who called it a sport? Did'nt see that post. I hunt to feed my family. G9ood clean meat, Antibiotic free, Hormone free, and processed by me. Seen beef prices lately? I have 5 to feed. I'm with you, man. We've got 3 boys and nobody's happier than my wife that we've got 2 deer in the freezer. And i got a few weekends at hunting camp to get them. Dudes who don't hunt got no clue what they're missing out on.
Augie Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I don't hunt, and I have no desire to. However, we do enjoy a good steak or an occassional burger, and I made a very nice chicken dish tonight. I'm glad I got to work with the end product. My only hope is that people eat what they kill. The people I know who do hunt are all firm on that point.
Nanker Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Everyone should have to field dress a deer or pheasant before they're ever allowed to eat a steak or chicken they buy at a supermarket.
8-8 Forever? Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 He killed Buffalo when he played here too. +1. in a long line of tier 2 players.
