Bills Fan in MD Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 So he left an actual head coaching job for a CHANCE to be a head coach again at some point in the future? Sure thing, Doug.
YoloinOhio Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) Matthew Fairburn @MatthewFairburn 13m13 minutes ago No, never. MT @JohnOehser: Doug Marrone says he won't focus on HC job. Says his focus is "right here" and doesn't look to his next job. Since when does the OL coach meet with the media in a press conference? Edited February 5, 2015 by YoloinOhio

"I got a sense of real humility from him." #Jaguars "Never Expected Another Head Coaching Job"....thats why all he was interviewing for was head coaching jobs...4 of them to be exact. Jesus, this dude thinks he is, by far, not only the smartest guy in the room, but the rest of the room is filled with idiots. In terms of humilty, i would expect getting embarrased in front of all the NFL and NFL fans based on your hubris will teach one humility right quick.
YoloinOhio Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Hackett: Ryan O'Halloran @ryanohalloran · 4m 4 minutes ago Hackett on Marrone leaving: "I wasn't thinking about that. You knew there was a chance for it. We prepared for it." Ryan O'Halloran @ryanohalloran · 6m 6 minutes ago Hackett on Marrone leaving Bills: "You were a little upset, but it's part of the job."
Drreef2 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Bradley on Hiring Marrone: 'Strong Sense of Humility' Does that mean he realizes he screwed up and shouldn't have tried to get the Jets job. I don't think he opts out if he wasn't told he would get another at least 3 year contract. His agent screwed up and Mehta cost him the job.

Dirtbag Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 that was truly one of the greatest and most delusional moments in press conference history. dude was one of a kind.
Kelly the Dog Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I totally understand that you cannot be truthful with the media a lot of times and a lot of ways. I totally understand diplomacy, and taking the high road, and all that kind of stuff, especially when being introduced to a new team. But saying I didn't expect to get another HC position is downright embarrassing, laughable, pathetic and sociopathic - made worse by Gus Bradley saying I didn't ask him about Buffalo. Incredible.

Incredible. maybe they only had time to discuss the pinstripe bowl during the interview.
Maddog69 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 He's either full of crap or just plain stupid. Probably a mix of both.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Never forget. On analytics... Never ceases to amaze me how coaches can say so much and nothing at all at the same time. Also 3 obviouslys in that statement.
J-Bo Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 There's only 32 positions available in the NFL. Why would you leave one if you didn't think you had a damn good shot at another. I refuse to believe his BS anymore...St. Doug lost me at his "desertion". What a dope...
