You know who "forgets" whether or not an RPG hits a helicopter they're on? A liar. Well, this whole episode would be great if they get O'Reilly on this too! IDBillzFan
Well, this whole episode would be great if they get O'Reilly on this too! Gut him! http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2015/02/bill-oreilly-brian-williams-falklands-war The pettiness of the left is so shrill, it's embarrassing on multiple levels, but explains how people like yourself think. There are countless ways what happened to Williams is different from the Mother Jones idiocy, and you will find this blow over especially fast, which will leave your side more time to hunt down Scott Walker's high school teacher. Deranged Rhino
Countless ways they are different? Let's hear one or two. Off making pop corn Bill isn't an anchor or even a newscaster. He's a cable news personality who's paid for his opinion. You've been around here long enough to know I have no love for the media in general and Fox news in particular, but Mother Jones is a disgraceful sham of an organization and their point about Bill -- even if he did lie which their own reporting never proves -- being equal to Brian Williams is wrong. Williams is an anchor and managing editor of one of the three biggest news organizations in the country. It's night and day.
BillsFan-4-Ever
The ONLY real news broadcast on FOX News is when Sheppard Smith is on those two airings everything else is biased opinionated bloviating

So they shouldn't point out that this slim ball is being a total hypocrite? Your whole point seems to be that they are not equal. They are slightly different on air media personalities so one can't lie and the other can and then even denounce the liar that got caught? Fox is info-tainment. Not news. It is sorta like the front page news versus the editorial section of a newspaper. You do know the difference, don't you?Judging by the rush to explain away the lies of O'Reilly, I'd say the difference is it's ok for the Conservative to lie but not for the guy that reads the news to people. Why do people get upset for Having it pointed out O'Reilly is a hypocrite and a liar? So much for the no spin zone

I don't think anyone here that thinks it's ok for O'Reilly to lie or is sticking up for that loudmouth. However most are pointing out that his work and the work of Williams is completely different. Kind like when someone posts an opinion piece as news here and gets **** for it.

meazza
Fox news is not better than any other source, let alone far better. They're not news, they're entertainment with a very narrow perspective on the world. They're brilliant at how they produce their entertainment, masking it as news, but they're most assuredly NOT better than any other source of news out there. I don't have the channel but Special Report is pretty good. You're using the internet wrong. The internet is for porn and to blast JTSP, Gatorman. That's silly. Bill O didn't make that argument, he sure thinks he is important. You guys are saying opinion writers can basically have no credibility? Opinion writers offer just that and oftentimes their opinions are not based in reality and can be taken with a huge grain of salt.

Tiberius
I know this has nothing to do with an new anchor getting caught lying about his war record, but this cable anchor is sure getting busted about lying about his war record http://news.yahoo.com/more-cbs-staffers-challenge-bill-o-reilly-s-stories-of-violence-from-buenos-aires-150525452.html;_ylt=AwrBT9I6eOxUkWUAuxXBGOd_
B-Man
Well, this obvious attempt at a diversion/squirrel from the "mainstream" media is done...................................find a new one. Ex-NBC Bureau Chief Backs Up O’Reilly’s Account of Falklands War Riot http://www.mediaite.com/tv/ex-nbc-bureau-chief-backs-up-oreillys-account-of-falklands-war-riot/ CBSNEWS video backs up account Joe Concha, who wrote a column this week questioning the motivations of O’Reilly’s attackers. Concha told O’Reilly that Mother Jones is in the business of throwing red meat to progressives, and beyond that, the story isn’t making much headway anyway. MOTHER JONES Corn under fire...
