I thought you conservatives didn't like FOX News?

why defend them so aggressively?

What lies? Should I have said Half Truths?

u funny /not

but this is

"So If I'm Understanding This Correctly, ...The Paragons Of Leadership Are A King, A Military Dictator, And A Power-Crazed Wannabe Czar"

http://mediamatters.org/video/2015/02/11/the-daily-show-trashes-fox-news-strange-obsessi/202482

Instead of coming down here for your quarterly ass whipping have you ever thought it might be just easier to increase the amount of sessions you have with Mistress Natalie?

I haven't been able to look at her the same after that. It was deeply unsettling to sit through that once, I can only image the nightmares you have having seen it multiple times.

For a guy who loves the internet as much as you do, I'm a little shocked by this.

I don't mind Special Report, and as much as I like to pick on Fox, I'm endlessly amused by O'Reilly. I just don't think any cable news station is the first place to go for news.

Yes, I like the Drudge Report myself.

Don't worry. Once the FCC gets their way with Net Neutrality, sites like Drudge and Breitbart will be another outlet of American Pravda implements fair and sensible regulations on dangerous radicals who seek to undermine the public good, oh hey look! Something shiny!

All Glory to the FCC :worthy:

the internet cannot be debated. There are always going to be sites to generate news and those who generate headlines. Today's headlines are tomorrows news on the internet. Even so much as someone posting that Dolly Parton caught in bed with Bill Clinton and a llama involved in a secret relationship could be put out tonight and be a wild speculation only to actually happen.

When you are talking face in front of the camera you end up with only so many that are actually able to provide news. And I am not counting YouTube or Twitter. News breaks in these places but news is not delivered in them.

Edit. I don't get my news from common places, either. I don't do any social sites like Facebook. twitter. etc

The are as follows:

1. News.Google

2. TBD

3. 4chan

4. Google Trends

You're using the internet wrong.

am I?

1st one is an aggregate of headlines in addition to topics I prefer

The sdcond is full of crap, though

And the third is about 1 million people in an hour from all ocer the world and if something big is happening it'll generate buzz

And the 4th is what's trendy.

The Five and Special Report are both excellent forums featuring lively discussions of current events.

I really don't care for Hannity at all. He's a horrific whiner. Haven't listened to him in years.

That said, I think Brian Williams will be lucky to end up as a host on Sesame Street.

Excellent piece on the larger issue of our modern tabloid/entertainment-news media:

One thing I find funny about the Williams bit: you can tell where a writer stands based on their description of what Williams did.

To some, he lied.

To others, he 'misremembered.'

Seriously. You misremember to pick up the dry cleaning. You don't misremember being shot at while flying in a military helicopter in the Middle East.

If you honestly believe "Today's headlines are tomorrows news on the internet" and rely on the nightly news as your main source of information (because talking into a camera somehow makes it more newsy) then yes. You're interneting wrong when it comes to news and information. You're probably interneting better at pirating movies and shows and porn though, so you got that going for you;)

I don't watch the nightly news and the only time I watch news is 69 minutes. And then cartoons.

The headlines today on the internet is spoken tonight and printed tomorroe. By that time the facts are straightened our and the news is actually there.

Yeah, the defenses of Williams are laughable. Apparently his embellishment of stories has been a running joke inside NBC News for years. As that piece I linked to points out, the line between news and entertainment has been all but eliminated, and Williams fancies himself as an MC rather than a newsman. But those using that as an excuse rather than an explanation for his behavior are missing the point.

But at least they're better than the full retards who defend him via "BUSH LIED, PEOPLE DIED!" lajik.
