TheFunPolice Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 There have always been NFL dynasties. We are in the waning seasons of New England*'s epic run. Brady can eat twigs and berries and do yoga all he wants, but Father Time comes knocking at the end of the careers of all the greats in every sport. He came for Jordan. He came for Kobe. He came for Montana. He will come for Brady too. So the question is twofold: how do you define a dynasty? AND who is next? Someone will be, as there is always one dominant team. Let us not forget, the Patriots* went 10 years between titles #3 and #4. So to me, a dynasty has to have the same core players. In other words, Baltimore of today isn't really one ring away from dynasty status, as ring #1 was so long ago and Flacco, Harbaugh, etc. were not there. To me they have 1 ring (that core of players). A more interesting case is the Giants. They have 2 already, both against the Patriots* dynasty. If they get 1 more with Coughlin/Eli I think you have to count them. But even then there are so many new players. On to who might be next, I'm looking at young teams with good coaching and good QB play. These are my possibilities: Green Bay. Rogers is plenty young, and he has 1 already. If he can get a couple more they will be in the discussion. I think this is possible. Baltimore. Flacco plays best in the playoffs. They have 1 already, and both he and Harbaugh are young. Harbaugh is also a great coach. They are tough and physical. They have a great GM. I don't see Seattle doing it. I think they will be like the 85 Bears. Great D, 1 ring. Had they won tonight it would have been a passing of the torch type game. Aren't sports incredible? Thoughts?
BUFFALOKIE Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 (edited) THE BUFFALO GD BILLS. THATS WHO!!! Edited February 2, 2015 by THE KIKO MONSTER
TheFunPolice Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 THE BUFFALO GD BILLS. THATS WHO!!! I like it! Also, it's possible... Mario is only 30. He has 4-5 elite years and a couple very good years left. The rest of the D is younger. Kyle is the old man. Rex could be the guy to get it done as well.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 The Bills: We have the best owners in the League and will find a way to make us winners, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Winning on a consistent level and multiple championships

Winning on a consistent level and multiple championships It's possible! As long as the Sabres can finish their tank things are going to get really fun around here starting next fall with the Bills season!
Johnny Hammersticks Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 It's obvious. It's the Jacksonville Jaguars. How can you not fear that coaching staff?

Oh they will finish the tank, would be amazing to get the top two picks in the lottery
Big C Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 The Patriots not only win championships, but they also win the division like every year. No other team does that, except maybe Green Bay. And Seattle has a chance now too.

truth on hold Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Wouldnt be so quick to write post-brady new England off. Gronk will still be around and garoppolo is being brought along the right way. This could be another favre to Rodgers kind of situation.

K D Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 The next dynasty is the New England Patriots. Tom Brady says he's planning on playing until he's 45.
Pneumonic Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Pats! They already have this one. They are the youngest team to win a SB, are loaded with talent and Brady and Belichick don't appear to be ready to call it a day.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Would you consider the 90's Bills a dynasty? Four conference championships, despite not winning that little exhibition game at the end is quite impressive.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Would you consider the 90's Bills a dynasty? Four conference championships, despite not winning that little exhibition game at the end is quite impressive. Yes, I do.

TheFunPolice Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 Would you consider the 90's Bills a dynasty? Four conference championships, despite not winning that little exhibition game at the end is quite impressive. Sadly no I don't. You have to win 3 Super Bowls with your core group or leadership in my book. That's what amkes New England* interesting. Are there any playersd besides Brady left from the 2004 team? It's like a whole new team, which is scary, and which shows that Belichick deserves all the credit in the world.
Dorkington Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Basically any franchise that has a young/good QB, and an ownership that is willing to put together a good defense on the opposite side of the ball. Right now, that's basically Seattle.
