YoloinOhio Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 Agents just using Rex again to drive things up for Jets? Worked twice already this week..
DC Greg Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Vic Carucci is wrong Schefter would not have tweeted without hard information. It's possible they put in some inquiries and backed out when the deal got bigger, but I highly doubt they "weren't involved" at all, i.e. Schefter was totally misinformed, per Carucci's language.

Beef Jerky Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I don't see the Bills beating the guaranteed money.

TheFunPolice Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Not a big deal.... It would have been cool but that's too much money.
NickelCity Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Not a big deal.... It would have been cool but that's too much money. +1

I agree. Schefter puts in the effort to ensure his reports are accurate.

This makes sense.
Bills Fan888 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Why would you have to pay him? Let me rephrase that, I wouldn't look forward to missing out on filling a bunch of other needs that his salary would prevent us from doing.
nucci Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Let me rephrase that, I wouldn't look forward to missing out on filling a bunch of other needs that his salary would prevent us from doing. Just having a little fun, that's all.
billsfan89 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) I have a feeling that Rex and the Bills are just trying to drive up the costs for Revis either the Pats* pony up more money or the Jets do. I think O-line and Clay would be more up Rex's alley. Edited March 10, 2015 by billsfan89
Not at the table Karlos Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 (edited) I believe schefter over carucci and benini. Carucci used to be gospel for me until recently. However the last few days he has been spot on.. this defense with Revis would be by far the best ever. Rex has either had pass rushers or coverage. Never both. But I think if mckelvin and Gilmore would be pretty dam good Edited March 10, 2015 by kr632
Dorkington Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 At the very least it's awesome that we're taking legitimate looks at a lot of solid/good players. I'm already loving the Pegula era.
Punch Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 NO way Bills pay Revis that much Terry Pegula paid Christian Ehroff and Ville Leino $65 million to NOT play for the Sabres anymore. Dude will pay whatever it takes for Revis.
Punch Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 FWIW, although it's from 6pm: @greggabe: If Schefty says Bills are mystery team in Revis negotiations you can bank on it. Russ Brandon has Schefter on speed dial
BuffaninATL Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 At the very least it's awesome that we're taking legitimate looks at a lot of solid/good players. I'm already loving the Pegula era. not only that, but the expectation of a high level of activity to address known needs, and Whaley delivering on those expectations with conviction, is a breath of fresh air and the complete opposite of what we experienced during the RW years, God bless his soul. The days of watching other teams making moves are long gone, and it feels great. I'd be surprised if the Bills did not grade out to having the top offseason, or damn near close to it.
SoulMan Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Bad idea. Bills all ready have one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Revis is a big money player. Buffalo has far more pressing needs to spend money on and the secondary ain't it. A-gree.
