Beerball Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 @AroundTheNFL: Seahawks offer Marshawn Lynch huge contract extension http://t.co/EyE0XHC0Ot Will make 10 mill in 2015 A bit premature don't you think? Could make, could make more, could retire. Too bad this draws out one of the most dumb sequence of events for the Bills. Picking Spiller & trading Lynch rank right up there with Buddy's inability to pull the trigger on any QB (aside from a 7th round pick) during his reign of mediocre. Still waiting to see that baby.

Lynch was a douche while he was in Buffalo. I was glad to see him go, regardless of what it ultimately cost us.

YoloinOhio Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Same source that tweeted Bridgewater was OROY? I am skeptical. Weird timing tooI think you are confusing the awards. Bridgewater was Pepsi NFL ROY (fan vote). No one tweeted he was AP ORoY. You don't consider Ian Rapaport a credible source? Edited February 1, 2015 by YoloinOhio

Ted William's frozen head Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 yeah because winning is secondary Look at the Buffalo history. The Bills drew a line in the sand, and Lynch kept crossing it. The team had to make a decision on what they thought was in their best interests. Seems to me that Freddy was doing a good job carrying the load at the time anyway. That being said, I support Lynch in his argument with the NFL. He obviously is not comfortable speaking in public, and the Commish has a hard on for Lynch not towing the company line. As a result, the hypocrisy of the NFL is exposed yet again. I would not be at all surprised if Lynch ends up with a larger fine/punishment than the Pats*

Oh well, you asked...
NoSaint Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Sounds like essentially a repeat of his last extension? Trading harvin will allow them some flexibility they weren't expecting but I don't know how anyone can be confident in lynch long term health wise. Is there a back that's been more beaten up any given run?
YoloinOhio Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 @pecrawleynfl: Seahawks are now expected to sign @MoneyLynch to a lucrative extension, according to @RapSheet. http://t.co/6IlNGlMX46
NoSaint Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Just checked, he's going to be 29 by draft day and has over 2000 carries already Edited February 1, 2015 by NoSaint
Maury Ballstein Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Just checked, he's going to be 29 by draft day and has over 2000 carries already It's ok. He's half beast. Deserves every penny imo.
NoSaint Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 It's ok. He's half beast. Deserves every penny imo. Oh, he's earned a ton. Was just speculating how many years he would continue to live up to the pay. Long term averages, and looking career production vs pay they will look good pretty much no matter what- but 3rd contracts for RBs are tough for teams often. Even if well structured there ends up a year where you pay a lot more than you get
LOVEMESOMEBILLS Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 @AroundTheNFL: Seahawks offer Marshawn Lynch huge contract extension http://t.co/EyE0XHC0Ot Would be set to make 10 mill in 2015 Good he deserves it. Imo, he was never going to last on the Bills or any east coast team, too far from home.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Smart move; get him really motivated for this game! If they structure it right, could be a good deal for the team.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 With the work load and style of runner Lynch is if this deal does not have a steep decline after the first two years in salary it is silly. 4 year $32 mil, like $18 guaranteed with $10 mil first year and $8mil in year two. I could see Lynch retiring after that. to the poster who says he doesn't enjoy talking to the media, bologna. He is playing the media and everyone else. His agenda is apparent with his 'BM' promotions. Good for him for capitalizing on things while he can. He plays a brutal sport that has huge adverse effects on the body and will most likely cost him a lot in quality of life down the road. I do not begrudge him what he is doing, but everyone needs to wake up and not make the 'social anxiety' excuse for him. That is the only part i do not like the Lynch uses. It is an act.
