YoloinOhio Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I saw his tweets yesterday. He's rehabbing now.
PromoTheRobot Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I played hockey with a partially torn meniscus. You can do it but it's hurts like f##k if you get hit a certain way.
YoloinOhio Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Jairus Byrd played at 99% one time. No love?
Heitz Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 #itsBoobieD - love this guy, for whatever reason, just feels like a good dude for the Bills... And no Yolo, no love for Byrdman!
Captain Hindsight Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) I played with a torn PCL once. Hurt to walk after some practices. Couldn't drive home one day because it hurt so bad. In hindsight Not my best decision as it was high school football Edited January 28, 2015 by Captain Hindsight
White Linen Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I don't know much about this kind of injury but it seems a bit irresponsible for the team to allow him to do that.

A meniscus can't heal itself and only gets worse with another injury. Partial or full tear doesn't much matter. They still cut out the torn part. They don't sew the tear back together as there is no blood supply to the tissue to make a scar.

It depends on where it is. http://www.orthop.washington.edu/?q=patient-care/articles/sports/arthroscopic-meniscus-repair.html I had mine repaired when it occurred in connection with an ACL tear. Yeah. Meniscus isn't really a big deal It can put you on the way to arthritis. Edited January 29, 2015 by Arkady Renko
