Thamus Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 The Patriots have been to 5 SB's in Patriot franchise history, all in the last 20 (19) years. What is different about this SB for the Pats? I have a feeling they will win, hands down. ANSWER BELOW: All have been played in domed stadiums! Okay, last year in Houston had a retractable roof and grass! BUT THE ROOF WAS CLOSED AT 3:45 PM (1:45 minutes prior to kickoff). • NFL officials planned all week to keep the retractable roof of Reliant Stadium open for the game unless there was a reason to close it. Early Sunday afternoon, the league announced that it would close the roof because of a forecast for rain. It was sunny and warm early in the afternoon, but clouds had begun to roll in when the roof was closed at 3:45 p.m., about one hour and 45 minutes before kickoff. The league had hoped to open the roof for a pregame ceremony but didn't. With it closed, smoke from fireworks during Aerosmith's pre-game concert lingered in the air, a common problem with domed stadiums.
Thamus Posted February 6, 2005 Author Posted February 6, 2005 Another: The 4 prior, all on or near the GULF coast. First 3 in New Orleans! I'll stop with the useless crap now!
