EmotionallyUnstable Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Okay, who can we send kicking bricks to save some cash... I'll start it off: Pears.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Isn't Pears a free agent? Guys that jump out at me are Keith Rivers, Manny Lawson, Chris Williams (post June 1st),fred Jackson, Scott Chandler.
Captain Hindsight Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 We aren't really in any cap trouble. That said Garrison Sanborn is killing the cap

Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Urbik another post June 1st cut. Saves over $3 million post June 1st.
Captain Hindsight Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Urbik another post June 1st cut. Saves over $3 million post June 1st. We dont have enough decent guards to cut Urbik IMO
Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Fred Ex and our only TE?! Really?!Yeah. We dont have enough decent guards to cut Urbik IMObetter sign some. But it really depends on how the new staff views Urbik.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 Yeah.I don't see any rational in those moves. FJ is the moral hub of this team. Even if he doesn't play a snap, his experience and leadership are invaluable. Plus he has a reasonable contract. As far as Chandler, he is our best TE. What's your plan as a replacement, given Roman notably uses multiple tight end sets frequently.

frogger Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Isn't Pears a free agent? Guys that jump out at me are Keith Rivers, Manny Lawson, Chris Williams (post June 1st),fred Jackson, Scott Chandler. Not so sure Jackson and Lawson will be cut. McKelvin is my surprise cut, after we sign Revis.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 I don't think it would be hard to replace either player. As far as FJ, sure. But what you lose from a leadership standpoint is detrimental. Chandler is a solid player. He isn't a show stopper but can play. You have no support for your claim?
Dragonborn10 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Cut or not re-signed: Pears, Spiller, Smith, Rivers, Spikes ( I want him back though) Lawson and Fred Jackson will be training camp cuts Gay will be around for camp and I think he probably makes the team One of the two will not survive - Urbik or Williams. If Williams is healthy he stays
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 You guys kill me. Fred is not going to be cut.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) You guys kill me. Fred is not going to be cut.I guess keep him forever. He is 34,injuries piling up, worst ypc of career. It's time. Biggest thing for me is he looked slow making cuts for the 1st time. Edited January 25, 2015 by TheTruthHurts
enlightener Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) bank on rivers and lawson out, chandler stays, all guards stay except pears. no way mckelvins out of course add a TE or guard and things change. jackson stays no matter what, id keep him at 5 touches a game on big downs or as a 3rd back until playoffs then have him start. I Can see him as a 3rd down RB until someone else shows they can handle it.
