The Real Buffalo Joe Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Finally, Kevin Hart stars in "The Wedding Ringer". Two weeks shy of his wedding, a socially awkward guy enters into a charade by hiring the owner of a company that provides best men for grooms in need. Also starring Josh Gad, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting & Affion Crockett. This movie seems terrible. Besides the fact that it's just not realistic. Am I the only one that doesn't think Kevin Hart is that funny? I just find him kind of annoying.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I love how there is a taken 3. That franchise is like a cult classic.
Maury Ballstein Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 This movie seems terrible. Besides the fact that it's just not realistic. The Real Buffalo Joe Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I love how there is a taken 3. That franchise is like a cult classic. The first one was good. I haven't seen 2 or 3. But I don't get how after the first movie, he wouldn't be a whole lot more protective of his family.

The Real Buffalo Joe Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 not a fan of all, Don't understand this hitch part 2 seems awful. A dating advice guru is more believable than paying for a best man. That's just weird.
Mark Vader Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 This movie seems terrible. Besides the fact that it's just not realistic. Am I the only one that doesn't think Kevin Hart is that funny? I just find him kind of annoying. I kind of agree. I don't think Kevin Hart is as funny as most people do. As for your annoying comment, look what annoying did for people like Adam Sandler & Will Ferrell.

Granted watching them is more of a nostalgia thing now, and I watched them as a teenager. So maybe that's what Kevin Hart is.
Mark Vader Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 What's your take on "American Sniper," Mark? Outstanding movie. Bradley Cooper gives his best performance ever, in my opinion. Not only does he look like Kyle, he also sounded like him too. The intensity of the movie reminded me of "The Hurt Locker". Clint Eastwood knows how to direct a movie. Very disappointed that he did not get an Oscar nomination. I like that they didn't portray Kyle as the "Perfect Patriot". He was a flawed person, and seeing him struggle with his life at home, was very sad. Also I have to mention Sienna Miller for her part as Kyle's wife. She was very good and her side of the story is just as important.
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I will be curious if anyone sees Mordecai. I like Depp and Paltrow-- but the previews made this movie look like the worst movie ever.
Mark Vader Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 I kind of like Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell. Granted watching them is more of a nostalgia thing now, and I watched them as a teenager. So maybe that's what Kevin Hart is. The thing is, I can not watch 90 minutes of Sandler & Ferrell, they just got far too annoying. I really like the movie "Old School", because Ferrell is part of an ensemble and not the main focus.
Maury Ballstein Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I will be curious if anyone sees Mordecai. I like Depp and Paltrow-- but the previews made this movie look like the worst movie ever. Not I, I dislike Depp. Can't recall a movie of his that I enjoyed. Don't want to hijack the thread but thoughts on grand Budapest hotel? Just watched that. I enjoyed it immensely. What a cast.

I prefer the movies where he is more normal.

I prefer the movies where he is more normal. I like Depp, but ever since "Pirates of the Caribbean" it just seems like he does the same thing over and over again. I love "Edward Scissorhands", and I think "Ed Wood" is the best acting performance Depp has ever given.
