Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Talk about the gang that can't shoot straight! And no wonder, as their own leader points out, those leading this clown posse are just lining their own pockets. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/230597-boehner-tea-party-raises-money-by-just-beating-the-dickens-out-of-me The Tea Party is making some of their puppet masters rich, just like Rush Limbo. And even the far right is just shaking it's head about how screwed up the GOP majority is http://thefederalist.com/2015/01/22/why-everyone-should-be-terrified-by-the-gops-abortion-bill-debacle/ What a joke! Immigration agents are furious over the GOP immigration bill, just more window dressing! Complaining we still took in helpless children, boo hoo, we so bad... http://g.thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/230493-immigration-agents-rip-gop-border-bill I could go on with this joke Congress, the Legislative version of Mission Accomplished, but I'll just point out how it's coming full circle, back to Compassionate Conservativism: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/22/business/economy/talk-of-inequality-prods-republicans-to-refocus.html?ref=politics Really? They basically want to talk like Obama now? Ha!
dayman Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) This is not new. If anything, now that Repubs have Congress...they're in a more mutually dependent relationship with Obama than they have ever been. Likely they'll be more functional than ever this term (at least this year anyway). Edited January 24, 2015 by Rex'sOffense
Chef Jim Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 And the Dems are a shining example of statesmen and statesmen. If you think the GOP is the only dysfunctional party you are the biggest tool on the planet.
Koko78 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 And the Dems are a shining example of statesmen and statesmen. If you think the GOP is the only dysfunctional party you are the biggest tool on the planet. You should have just skipped all the big fancy words and just gone with "you are the biggest tool on the planet".
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 And the Dems are a shining example of statesmen and statesmen. If you think the GOP is the only dysfunctional party you are the biggest tool on the planet. I dunno, don't think the Democrats would be stupid enough to allow five different complete idiots to give responses to the state of the Union. That was a disaster.
DC Tom Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I dunno, don't think the Democrats would be stupid enough to allow five different complete idiots to give responses to the state of the Union. That was a disaster. No, between Reid and Pelosi, the Democrats can cover "complete idiocy" with just two.
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 No, between Reid and Pelosi, the Democrats can cover "complete idiocy" with just two.At least they didn't shut down the government like you know who.
DC Tom Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 At least they didn't shut down the government like you know who. You say that as though shutting down the government is a bad thing.
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 You say that as though shutting down the government is a bad thing. It is. So is not raising the debt limit or even using not raising it as a threat. You are dumb
dayman Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Why? DC Tom asking questions? As though he would ever give you a straight-forward/real answer or opinion on a specific matter? Edited January 25, 2015 by Rex'sOffense
Azalin Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 DC Tom asking questions? As though he would ever give you a straight-forward/real answer or opinion on a specific matter? You should answer him. I'd be interested in hearing a good explanation of why another of those 'government shutdowns' would be such a bad thing.
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 Why?It's a mindless distration You should answer him. I'd be interested in hearing a good explanation of why another of those 'government shutdowns' would be such a bad thing. And not raising the debt ceiling too, love to hear that one also
Azalin Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) And not raising the debt ceiling too, love to hear that one also I know, right? We already have a cumulative debt of 18 trillion dollars. What's a couple more trillion in the greater scheme of things? Edited January 26, 2015 by Azalin
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 I know, right? We already have a cumulative debt of 18 trillion dollars. What's a couple more trillion in the greater scheme of things? That debt sure hurt the recovery, huh?
Azalin Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 That debt sure hurt the recovery, huh? I know, right? With wages so high and so many people gainfully employed, that debt will disappear as if by magic.
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 I know, right? With wages so high and so many people gainfully employed, that debt will disappear as if by magic. Sure, like how low wages and employment would have been if we had not borrowed more to spend on our country, right?
Azalin Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Sure, like how low wages and employment would have been if we had not borrowed more to spend on our country, right? Because everybody knows that increasing the national debt will have an immediate and positive impact on wages.
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 Because everybody knows that increasing the national debt will have an immediate and positive impact on wages. If you don't spend the money and fire all those government workers (because of falling tax receipts with the recession) it will depress consumer spending and wages. And no, everyone doesn't understand that
