LabattBlue Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 It really sucks to have the SB on Sunday evening. Kids have to get up for school the next day and everyone has to get up for work. Why not have it on Saturday night instead? Even more radical....instead of a Saturday night SB, keep it on Sunday and make the Monday after the SB a national holiday!

Mark Vader Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Why not? This is treated like a holiday, let's make it one. The Super Bowl is not just big here, but around the world. I'm down with it.

Zamboni Man Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 A worldwide Holiday supporting the NFL....I like it! Declare Monday SuperDay!
Steven in MD Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 If the networks had their way, they would have the game on Monday night prime time. I believe the SB should be a 4pm start on Sunday....but it will not get into "prime time". It is all about the money I am afraid.
Nanker Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Excellent suggestion. It makes a LOT of sense. Therefore, it'll never happen. NFL rules and regulations Article 87, Section 12, Paragraph 3, 5th Bullet: "Nothing that makes sense to the majority of mankind can be implemented for the duration of the season." As a side note, the 7th Bullet in Paragraph 3 explicitly says the following: "Just give it to 'em!"
jarthur31 Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 This starts with corporate America. Executives know how much productivity is lost the day after and all the call-ins. Why not make it a holiday?

Grant Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 I would much rather have the Bowl on a Saturday, too, so I wouldn't have to worry about going to work with a hangover.
