BillsFan-4-Ever Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Defense, ST's ... now we need the O to climb to the top half of the NFL
eball Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Fire Crossman! ooops, wrong thread -- beg pardon
Zac Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Have to re-sign Easley. He's a dominant as a gunner. Brooks is damn good too.
BUFFALOKIE Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) Rex is in a perfect situation. Figure out the O, and IT IS ON! God, I hope they hold D and ST units together cuz this team is STACKED in two out of three! Hurry up opening day 2015!!!! 19 AND 0 BABY!!!! GO BILLS!!!! Edited January 23, 2015 by THE KIKO MONSTER
Billy in 4C Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Kickoff specialist helped. Powell was ok but was much better than Moorman. Carpenter was solid again. Addition of guys like Dixon helped. Impressive considering we didn't do much on our kick and put receiving teams.

YoloinOhio Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Glad Crossman was retained by Rex. Agree on signing Easley - can't imagine he'd fetch a ton of money elsewhere because he can't really be a viable backup WR that we've seen. But he's one of the best, if not the best, gunners in the league.
YoloinOhio Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 @MarcusEasley: Id like to think i had a hand in helping us move up in rankings. 😁
Mr. WEO Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 @MarcusEasley: Id like to think i had a hand in helping us move up in rankings. Didn't Easley missed 7 weeks of the season and they went to a #2 ranking over last year? Yeah, it was you Marcus....
EmotionallyUnstable Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 They jumped from 31st to 2nd So what was the difference between this year and last? Personnel? Execution?
YoloinOhio Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 So what was the difference between this year and last? Personnel? Execution? It would have to be some of both. Marrone was committed to playing starters on ST as well, which made a difference (I.e Robert Woods)
EmotionallyUnstable Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 It would have to be some of both. Marrone was committed to playing starters on ST as well, which made a difference (I.e Robert Woods) That is one aspect of the game, at all levels, that I love. You have to be dedicated to playing your best players. I hope Rex will not shy away from that
C.Biscuit97 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Gotta give props to Crossman. I still hate everything about a kickoff specialist though.
YoloinOhio Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Gotta give props to Crossman. I still hate everything about a kickoff specialist though.i wonder if that was Marrone's deal or Crossman's. I doubt Rex will think we need one, he never had one before.
hondo in seattle Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Fire Crossman! ooops, wrong thread -- beg pardon I admit I was on that bandwagon. Marrone was right. I was wrong.

Impressive considering we didn't do much on our kick and put receiving teams. His name is Schmidt. I thought he did well in his first season. Didn't Easley missed 7 weeks of the season and they went to a #2 ranking over last year? Yeah, it was you Marcus.... "Had a hand" is all he said. He definitely did. He is a dominant gunner, reflected in his election to PFF's All-Pro ST team despite missing those games. Also reflected in his play, if you are watching.
C.Biscuit97 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I admit I was on that bandwagon. Marrone was right. I was wrong. Agreed. I think that 98% of us were on the bandwagon. Maybe we should have just kept Marrone not to coach but to hire Non offensive coordinators.
