Sounds like that argument may not stay "behind closed doors" for much longer, though.

Families. Aint they great?

i worded it terribly but was saying an old talk like that coming public now -- i wouldnt be surprised if there were some ugly things said that a normal employee would never have access to simply due to the nature of the the relationships -- kind of like someone referenced up thread with the clippers situation but it being an employee and family member that was at the center of the conversation behind closed doors.

and yea.... family.... they can certainly produce some "special" situations.

Sounds like things are getting very messy in the Benson family.

Might this be a situation worth watching this offseason? If the organization starts to go south, might they decide a certain star quarterback's contract is too rich for them to keep around?

You have Saints like Colston already saying they will take a pay cut.

That's because he is probably going to get cut. They need to free some cap space and Colston, Evans, Grubbs, Hawthorne and maybe even Gallete should be on the lookout.

The situation will be insane but it won't lead to any irrational football decisions. The same people will be managing the situation. They will make some cap adjustments but it won't result in anything crazy like Brees being available. Every single guy on that roster would be made available before Brees.

Then maybe we should swoop in on some of their other guys like Grubbs?

Either Grubbs or Jahri Evans will likely be available. Both were a little underwhelming this year but still a massive upgrade for the the Bills. I really believe that the Bills are going to look to FA to address the OL not the draft. They drafted 3 OL last year. They have some youth to develop and may add 1 more lineman in the draft. They will look for an established starter in FA.
