Captain Hindsight
I think it is being blown out of perportion, If this was an isolated incident. But it's not. The NFL needs to investigate these guys and hire a mole to work there and see what really goes on. The run this team has been on with Julian Edekman, Deion Branch and "insert no name player here" is unbelievable. As in I do not believe it
BuffaloFan68
No. Anything short of a disqualification from the Super Bowl, loss of their 2015 draft, and a year suspension for belichick should be seen as a slap on the wrist and met with outrage by anyone interested in the integrity of the game. The pats* organization already got their sweep it under the rug free pass with spygate. It's time for the league to send a message that repeat offenders will not be tolerated. DC Tom
Gee, Johnson used the term "Bribe", Leinart used the term "tamper"...odd choices for guys that wanted to make it clear that they were within the rules. Can't there be reasonable discussion, without people being disingenuous? Not when the reasonable discussion consists of... "Everyone does it." "You can't prove everyone doesn't do it." "Even if everyone doesn't do this, everyone does other stuff." "It's not a big deal." "Your team just sucks." And let's add "It's no different that something it's different from" to your list, too. BuffaloFan68
I really feel that Billacheat should be suspended for 2 years, due to the repeat offender fact.
DC Tom
I think Gisele's role in this is under-appreciated. Everyone knows she keeps Brady's under-inflated balls in her purse.

Alphadawg7
Wrong. Aaron Rodgers said he preferred them over inflated and wished they would allows that, not that that's how he has them in the game. Also show me where other QBs have admitted to deflating footballs. They admitted to scuffing the balls, which is within the rules. Adjusting the pressure is not. No one has admitted to that. This has nothing to do with jealously. If this is overblown people being jealous why is the NFL investigating it? Why is being reported the NfL is disappointed? Why are some players coming out and saying the exact opposite of what you are saying? Are they all jealous too? Is Jerome Bettis jealous of the Pats? And for like the 100th time the majority of people are in agreement that it didn't effect the outcome of the game. You are wrong...google it. He specifically stated he OVER inflates them to see if they catch it because he likes them bigger. Second, on twitter many current and past QBs have been tweeting they did it too and that all QBs do it. Some even giving details about putting balls in dryers and crap. And scuffing the ball up isn't legal, in fact, they have to do so in a manner that the ref won't disallow the football. This is a bunch of haters, especially here, that want this to be something bigger because they don't want the Pats to be on top anymore. If you don't want the Pats to be on top, then play better and build better football teams to beat them. Its that simple. Crying over the weight of a football to try and discredit their dominance is straight from the book "Things losers say". I hate losing to the Pats, but we aren't losing to them because of the weight of the football, we lost to them because they are better...period. Even Dwayne Allen, a Colts player, tweeted about it having nothing to do with the loss and it being over blown. This board sounds like a bunch of scorned ex girl friends. Fine the Pats and move on...nothing more to see here. Edited January 21, 2015 by Alphadawg7
Fadingpain
@ProFootballTalk: Ravens DL Chris Canty says on @PFTonNBCSN that using deflated balls is no different than using performance-enhancing drugs. Man, this whole thing could have been so much more epic if Baltimore had made a stink out of it the way Indy did. That game was entirely different, closely matched, and Baltimore could easily have won but for a slight advantage gained by cheating. Where the hell was Baltimore on this one? They came out late with the stuff about the kicking balls being messed up.
Alphadawg7
PS: Why does everyone want BB suspended? Thats not how I want to win...I want to beat the Pats and take this division over, not over exaggerate a pointless situation to try and take away the genius behind that team so we can finally beat them. We are knocking on their doorstep, and I want to beat them, not part of them. Man, this whole thing could have been so much more epic if Baltimore had made a stink out of it the way Indy did. Case closed on Balt conspiracy theories.

He said he prefers them over inflated. He also said there should be a minimum psi not maximum. And again WHO IS TALKING ABOUT THE BILLS LOSING? No one. You keep bringing it up, no one is arguing it. No one is jealous. The majority of people agree it didn't help. That doesn't mean it's not cheating.
Augie
Seriously? It's a pretty big story today across the nfl. It is being discussed on every national show. It's all over twitter. I've seen longer threads on TSW about backup long snappers. I don't think it has anything to do with Bills fans only care about this because they are Bills fans. Its a real story today in the national media. This was on the NBC Nightly News last night. Early. It's not a bunch of petty, whining Bills fans. Can't there be reasonable discussion, without people being disingenuous? Johnson and his friend, THE OPPOSING TEAM'S QUARTERBACK, Rich Gannon, BOTH got together and both decided to give the ball boys some money to rub the brand new balls down so both teams could use balls that weren't slippery when brand new. Who is being disingenuous?

Here is the exact quote from Aaron Rodgers: Copy and pasted from NBC Sports from googling it. “I like to push the limit to how much air we can put in the football, even go over what they allow you to do and see if the officials take air out of it” So Stop already. This means ANY fines or penalties on the Pats needs to also be applied to the Packers for OPEN ADMISSION of tampering with the footballs above the allowed limits. It also means you need to fine all the teams of all the other QBs that have said they manipulate the footballs too. This is a stupid topic that would be a non story on any other team. Making it into something its not just because its the Pats doesn't make it more significant...it makes everyone into a bunch of whiners. If you were a Niners fan, you wouldnt even post on this topic Wayne, but because you hate the Pats you are being very biased and want this to be more than it is, which its not. Its a media story because its leading into a Super Bowl and its the Pats. Edited January 22, 2015 by Alphadawg7

Alphadawg7
The worst part about this story is that this board is never ever going to let it go and the Shout Box will forever be ruined and unusable during Pats vs Bills games. They will be filled with countless conspiracy theories of every close play, every penalty, every call that doesn't go our way (even if the video evidence proves it shouldn't). RIP Shout Box on Pats/Bills game day
