TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) I mean I'm fine not signing him as long as we spend that money on REALLY upgrading the Oline. He just seems perfect for the type of offense Rex is saying he's going to implement. Edited January 19, 2015 by TheBillsWillRiseAgain
hondo in seattle Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Absolutely not. He will be overpaid. Spend the money to upgrade the two guards and it won't matter who is running the ball. See Denver when no matter who they plugged in at RB for several years, they were great. Terrell Davis, Olandis Gary and a couple others. I also agree with this. Great offensive line produce rushing yards, almost no matter who's toting the ball, and make their QBs better.
TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 So we sign two good guards and stick with the RBs we have?
Deranged Rhino Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 So we sign two good guards and stick with the RBs we have? Sign two guards and improve RB in ways other than signing the most expensive RB on the market.
TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Sign two guards and improve RB in ways other than signing the most expensive RB on the market. That's fine by me. As long as they sign two very good guards. No more of that Chris Williams bull ****.

Maddog69 Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Great runner but I would not want to be the team to overpays him. You can get value at the position for a lot less money. Same reason I hope they don't re-sign Spiller.
TheBillsWillRiseAgain Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Ingram or Ryan Matthews would be good alternatives.
Niagara Dude Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I would sign him but you would have let Fred go with his 3.2 million contract. He best days are behind and you could see how slower his moved this past season.
Nuncha Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Right now, with the "ground & pound", I'm really only liking Boobie Dixson. 1) Bryce Brown unproven yet - can he be the guy? 2) Spiller - too flashy a runner for ground & pound? Doesn't hit the hole very well. 3) Jackson - getting old in the tooth. Seems like he will get hurt next year with all the pounding. (we never should have gotten rid of Joique Bell!) Joique Bell? I think you mean Marshawn Lynch.....
billsfan89 Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Yes if the price is right at 6-7 million a year along with not having to guarantee that much beyond the first year and maybe a small or modest guarantee year 2. But that would only be a real option if the team picked up a monster guard and kept Hughes and other defensive free agents. But I doubt Murray would want to go to a team with no QB. I think Murray would have enough suitors to pick his destination.
Best Player Available Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Joique Bell? I think you mean Marshawn Lynch.....Bell, can run he would be a good back and no need to flush a 4'th down the drain. i wish we had him still.
NewEra Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Ingram or Ryan Matthews would be good alternatives. Ingram will be getting 4 mill a year IMO. Murray probably 5-6. I would mind spending 1-2 more for possibly the best RB in the league

He had a great year but was injured every other season before that. He is running behind a great line. Ingram or Ryan Matthews would be good alternatives. Ingram. I agree. Ryan, no way. Not very good.
