GG Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 (edited) Oh oh, first head scratcher. Chicago's OL underwhelmed last two years. Edit - he was OC, how were his lines in NO? Edited January 17, 2015 by GG
Jerry Jabber Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Sounds like we have a winner: "Kromer was hired by the New Orleans Saints in 2008 as the running backs coach, before becoming the offensive line coach the following season. Under his tenure as OL coach, the Saints sent five players to a combined nine Pro Bowls, and tied for the fewest sacks in the league with 96.[5] Under Kromer, the Saints line twice won the Madden Most Valuable Protectors Award as the best offensive line in the league (in 2009 and 2011).[6] Kromer filled in as the Saints' interim head coach for the first six games of the 2012 NFL season as Joe Vitt served his six-game suspension.[7]" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Kromer
C.Biscuit97 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Haha good. I hate Cutler. This guy did a good job in NO.

Chicago's Oline was pretty good 2 years ago. The whole offense was a mess this year. But talk about a staff with good NFL experience.

Kromer is the former Bears OC who told the media that they were having buyers remorse on cutler. Then he cried infront of the team when he admitted it was him.

Kromer won with Marrone's players. Hopefully that happens this time as well

Solomon Grundy Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I hope Rex has the "loyalty" talk with him!!!
K-9 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Why hire a coach who went public with throwing a player under the bus? If I were a player, I'd question his credibility on that basis alone. Not a fan of this hire. GO BILLS!!!
YoloinOhio Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 @ChrisTrapasso: Here's Aaron Kromer's work history. Has been an OL coach for some sturdy fronts. http://t.co/gI9ATfRdps

Although I assume he has learned his lesson, I'm positive that it was brought up by Rex Roman, and who ever bothers interviewing OL coaches.
