I'm not surprised that he's interviewing for the Broncos. He was their Offensive Cordinator under Shanahan and he gets to coach Peyton Manning. I also wouldn't be surprised if he took it.

Some where Doug Marrone is sucking on a .38 and a bottle of bourbon.

He's got $4M reasons not to. Unfortunately, thanks to the Bills.

I don't know how much money He needs to maintain his lifestyle but $4MM in a modest investment could generate over $100K a year in interest.

It is not all about the money.

If it was about the money, think about how much a Cord or position coach gets. Marrone will have to work 10 years to make what he would of working one more season. Sorry just like when he was coaching Marrone made a bonehead move.

It is turning out that owners are more clued in then Marrone thought.

Marrone wants to be a coach, he is not going to ever get another shot at it most likely due to his actions.

Oh, I agree he made a boneheaded move that will bite him in the ass in time. But for this year at least, he's set.

Could Swartz end up in Chicago with Fox? Looks like a good fit as they already run a 4-3. I was sure he would end up with the Giants once he was released from the Bills but they decided to do back to the future with Spags.

I really like Schwartz and feel like he got a raw deal out of this

Schwartz will be fine. He's a good DC and everyone in the league knows it. He's getting paid this year regardless, and he's not going to be sitting for long.

I asked this before and don't know the answer to it. Are coordinators on guaranteed contracts, too? HC are. I would find it hard to believe position coaches are. Not sure whether Schwartz would be.

yep, no doubt I think they should hire him as DC especially how he took care of the NFC north last season.

If he can make that defense viable, he can be called St. Jim.

He also played his entire career in Denver and was Elway's backup. I assume they are close and that this is his dream job.
