Also I don't know how much Thurman Thomas is connected to what they are doing but he was on next and has been texting CJ every week, telling him "we want you back"

Good interview, I thought he was very candid and I like how he talked about the draft. It was some good insight.

Yes, and he's right. They have found starters in the 2nd and 3rd round last 2 yrs. Kiko, woods, brown.

the WGR guys said they were joking around and said "did you get Hughes signed yet?" and Whaley said "they are hopefully getting it done now." wow that would be huge

Whaley loves Spiller? My man! KR/PR 10 carries a game behind the feature back. 5 YPC average goes up with Roman.

My guess is Whaley is pissed at how he was misused for 2 years Edited by YoloinOhio

Cue the Spiller haters in one...two...

The guys a weapon if used properly and healthy. Not so sure he is a "Ground and Pound" RB...

I was kinda surprised WGR didn't ask Whaley about his Marrone quote. As in, he mentioned after Marrone left how the Bills can now upgrade their head coach. How bad was their relationship?

Agreed. Good to see Doug still part of the organization.

What does Thurman know about running the ball and running backs?

since Roman never had a RB like Spiller, it's hard to say how he would use him. He isn't a ground and pound RB but he could certainly be used in screens and the passing game. They won't be running up the middle on every down.

Well, what he said was, after it happened, his choices were to wallow in it and say oh no, now what... Or... do something else. So he said lets take it as a chance to upgrade and that's how they set out. It was a mindset thing not really a slam on Marrone. He downplayed that and said he had no problem with Marrone just some healthy disagreements. He's a politician like Rex is to some degree. He never outright bad mouths people.

He was pissed? Too bad there was no one he could spoken to about that.....

Next time, he should just go right to the GM.

Ah, cool. I'd never expect Whaley to outright bad mouth anyone so the quote i saw was a bit out of context. Whaley seems very careful in what he says to the media.
