deadbeef Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Holy crap. What the hell is SF doing? Bills and Jets look almost functional compared to these clowns. Ryand and Bowles are good hires. Quinn should go to the Bears or Denver. My hunch is Altlanta is waiting to hire Josh McDaniels and set that franchise back another decade. That would be great! He'll trade us Matt Ryan then draft a running QB.
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 That would be great! He'll trade us Matt Ryan then draft a running QB. No need- in that trade, we'll give him EJ! Win-win! :-) With SF hiring someone already on the staff, does this appease that OL coach that people around here seemed to like, who reportedly was waiting for the coaching situation to be resolved, since this is a guy he would presumably know? This is the kind of hire that would likely retain some staff, instead of clearing house of his former co-workers...
billsfan1959 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I wonder how this will affect any chances for offensive line coach Mike Solari to come here?
YoloinOhio Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 Good analogy @jasonrmcintyre: Trent Baalke dumped the hot, smart girl who challenged him. He just got hitched to the safe girl he knew he could control.
Malazan Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Ya know, of all the candidates names who were floating around..I didn't really think the Raiders could hire a bad choice. Somehow...they managed to do it. Amazing. I don't wtf San Francisco is doing. Maybe their best Raiders impression.
FloridaSnow Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I know Del Rio is odd and had that whole axe incident, but didn't the Jaguars do pretty well under him? Why is he a bad hire?
Nihilist25 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) I know Del Rio is odd and had that whole axe incident, but didn't the Jaguars do pretty well under him? Why is he a bad hire? It's been a while so he might have changed, but I remember being outraged by this hit: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/13290-darius-is-only-half-the-loser-that/ Edited January 14, 2015 by Nihilist25
deadbeef Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 No need- in that trade, we'll give him EJ! Win-win! :-) Dude, we are talking Mcdaniels here, he won't trade for anyone with potential talent. I'll trade him Kouandjio and throw in Ladanian Tomlinson as a running QB, I think he has a higher QB rating than Matt Ryan. Good question though, if Mcdaniels is coach of Atlanta what would you send in a trade for Matt Ryan?
NickelCity Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I wonder how this will affect any chances for offensive line coach Mike Solari to come here? Was wondering the same thing.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 @AdamSchefter: 49ers set to promote DL coach Jim Tomsula to head coach, per sources. Still ironing out details, but Tomsula expected to be 49ers next HC. @AdamSchefter: Oakland Raiders now have hired HC Jack Del Rio, as @mortreport reported they would. 2 more down... Dang stiffing Fangio, he is a brilliant DC

Good question though, if Mcdaniels is coach of Atlanta what would you send in a trade for Matt Ryan? Franchise Hughes- trade him. Pick #49 in 2015 2016 first rounder (hesitated here, I don't want to give up another 1st rounder for Ryan, but I don't think Atl. can sell to their fans getting rid of Ryan and not even getting a 1st rounder, reguardless of what other pieces they acquire.) EJ Manuel For- Matt Ryan 2015 4th round pick. I feel like I could live with that, and it could be a fair price. Maybe toss in a Goodwin if there's a mid-to-lower tier roster guy they happen to be attracted to.
Charles Romes Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Good hire for Oakland. Look at where Del Rio won, and what happened when he left.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Hopefully the SF OL coach will get spooked and abandon the sinking stinking ship and come to the Bills.
YoloinOhio Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 Hopefully the SF OL coach will get spooked and abandon the sinking stinking ship and come to the Bills.agreed. Seattle isn't going anywhere and STL and Arizona are on the rise. Time to move on.
fridge Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Good hire for Oakland. Look at where Del Rio won, and what happened when he left. Are you referring to how he miraculously coached for nine seasons and the Jaguars won only a single playoffs game in that span?
TheFunPolice Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Del Rio is a JOKE His all-star Denver D no-showed at home in the playoffs. Has anyone done less with more?
pimp 2 Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Tim Horton's Donuts had a sign up for assistant manager. He can bring hackett with him to man the drive thru I literally laughed out loud, seeing this... !
Marv's Neighbor Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 DelRio will be right at home when the Raiders move back to LA.
hondo in seattle Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Tomsula leapfrogging Fangio, eh? Very weird. And apparently they didn't want Roman as HC either. Both coordinators passed over for a position coach.
