Ludwig van Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) I think most of the starters played under Pettine's scheme. Pettine was a protégé of Rex. How similar are their schemes? I hope for a smooth transition as was from Pettine to Swartz.. Go Bills!!! Ps > Do not< get rid of Brandon Spikes Mods pls merge if too similar Edited January 14, 2015 by Ludwig van
Beef Jerky Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 No since Pettine's defense isn't the same as Rex's. He may have been coached under Rex but Rex runs his defense much better then Pettine runs his. Also these guys should have no problem adjusting. #1 defense next year.
billsfan1959 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 They hadn't played in Pettine's defense before he got here and there seemed to be a pretty smooth transition. They hadn't played in Schwartz' defense before he got here and there seemed to be a pretty smooth transition. I don't think there will be a difficult transition to Ryan's defense...
billsfan89 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I would imagine some of the players playing in a similar system might be benifit Rex in trying to implement his defense. But the turnover between the 2013 and 2015 bills will be probably pretty big and two years is a long time in the NFL.
elroy16 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 If I remember correctly, didn't Schwartz talk about how he was going to try and keep some terminology the same so that there wouldn't be as much of a transition? I have faith that these guys will be in mid-season form by week 2.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 do you mean will the switch back to the 3-4 hurt? IMO no the Kiko Monster will be back
