Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I bet he goes to the jets... And lights us up.
BuffaloWings Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 a no brainer as he was very successful in our games vs Pats thru the years as well as others. Slot receivere spot would be imoroved and we could go 4 WR sets and be really better. I always thought Stevie was a good route-runner and was the only guy who was consistently getting open vs Revis when the whole world was in love with Revis. Those days are gone, so I don't see the point in bringing Stevie back. I like what he did here...except for the drops, fumbles, and stupid tweets. The drop in the Pittsburgh game will always stick with me.
Turbosrrgood Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Early speculation is that Stevie is a possible candidate for release. Would you rather have Stevie or 7-11 for our 3rd WR if in fact he were to become available? http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4962/stevie-johnson I'd welcome Stevie back regardless, what is there to hold against him? Having said that I doubt that is really being considered, he'd be a 3rd option at best for the Bills.
ALF Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 SJ13 should go to the team with Fitz. He was the only QB who could guess where SJ might be on the field.
SoulMan Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 HELL NO. He was a liability when he was here !
Rob's House Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Why? He seemed to be a very average player in our new OC's system there, what makes anyone think he would be better here under the same guy & system. Actually, he was more productive on a per snap basis than Crabtree most of the year. His stats were down, but that was more a result of a logjam at WR and a QB who sucks at passing.
Fan in Chicago Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I bet he goes to the jets... And lights us up. Especially if Ryan gets Revis to be a Bill
Maury Ballstein Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 A million times yes. Throw the big $$$$ at Beastmode as well.
C.Biscuit97 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I love Stevie and he loves Buffalo. He got a bad rap here by some fans. But honestly, he would be at best a 4th wr. I'm always been a fan of when you break up, stay broken up and move on. I wish him all the best though.
GG Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Put down the joint and walk away. You have had enough. 7-11 is better than Stevie. And I like Stevie By what measures is he better? Playing on special teams?
....lybob Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Depends on his salary demands and injury status - I wish Bills fans would stop reacting like jilted girls - 100% healthy SJ is worth 2 million a year bad groin SJ is not worth a roster spot, his whole game is short area quickness and change of direction.
KD in CA Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 First though is "at vet minimum, sure". Second though is "let's not go back to guys who were part of a losing culture at OBD"
Tyrod's Tailor Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'll take Crabtree instead. He's a sorry, mediocre WR like Sherman said.(ha), But he's like the red zone threat that never was with Mike Williams. I like Stevie. But he should follow Fitz. When you try Belichick with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that's the result you gonna get.
metzelaars_lives Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Hogan. Younger and more reliable at this point. BWAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHa good joke The bwahaha's are more than a little obnoxious. You had a similar response (not sure if there were quite as many a's and h's) when I said the bills had an elite defense early in the season.
Max997 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Early speculation is that Stevie is a possible candidate for release. Would you rather have Stevie or 7-11 for our 3rd WR if in fact he were to become available? http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4962/stevie-johnson why? Stevie is going to end up with Gailey and the Jets, guaranteed
DC Tom Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I'd have no problem bringing back Stevie...except that 1) I don't know if he's healthy; I always got the impression, his last season here, that the cumulative effects of injuries were starting to show. And 2) I don't know how it benefits either party. The Bills are pretty well stacked at receiver, and Stevie wouldn't see much playing time Though Watkins-Woods-Stevie is an interesting trio, IF healthy and IF in the right scheme with the right quarterback. Which I highly doubt is the Bills.
K D Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 let's bring Fitzpatrick back while we are at it. would Watkins give up his number since he's the rookie and Fitz is the vet?
Mr. WEO Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 SJ disappeared in Roman's offense. What would he add here? Hogan's as valuable.
