Tipster19 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Early speculation is that Stevie is a possible candidate for release. Would you rather have Stevie or 7-11 for our 3rd WR if in fact he were to become available? http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4962/stevie-johnson
LA Grant Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Absolutely. Provided we get a big TE for red-zone, I'd be thrilled to have Stevie back in the slot.
CSBill Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) Early speculation is that Stevie is a possible candidate for release. Would you rather have Stevie or 7-11 for our 3rd WR if in fact he were to become available? http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4962/stevie-johnson Why? He seemed to be a very average player in our new OC's system there, what makes anyone think he would be better here under the same guy & system. Edited January 14, 2015 by CSBill
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 The only place I'd go if I'm stevie is wherever Fitz plays. If roman used him as a #4 in sf I don't expect he will be clamoring for him in big.

thewildrabbit Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 The entire reason the Bills traded him away was because he didn't run crisp, precise routes, and was free lancing to get open. This apparently confused EJ so they moved him. Another reason might have been his high salary, and his propensity for injuries. Then stated he didn't work out all that much in the off season which brought his desire to be a top player into question. I suppose it would depend on Stevie's current attitude and if the Bills bring in a different QB to start. Then, If he is realeased I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jets go after him as he flourished in Chan Gailey's offense. Chan is the Jets new OC under Todd Bowles
dollars 2 donuts Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) Keep HoganYes, and can EJ please just spend his entire offseason (entire) working on taking chances on passes down field? I get this feeling a lot of times with qbs that they have this comfort level where they like to stay. Can't imagine where I've picked that up the last decade and a half? ...I just want these types of throws to be in our qb's wheelhouse. Edited January 14, 2015 by dollars 2 donuts
Nasty Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Heck no I don't want Stevie back; 7-11 doesn't drop balls when he is thrown to unlike Stevie. Don't get me wrong I like Stevie as a person would just prefer 7-11 over him
fansince88 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Put down the joint and walk away. You have had enough. 7-11 is better than Stevie. And I like Stevie

Would you rather have Stevie or 7-11 for our 3rd WR if in fact he were to become available? http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4962/stevie-johnson Yes because this another example of Marrone not getting it, how many players started to suck the day he was hired.
BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 a no brainer as he was very successful in our games vs Pats thru the years as well as others. Slot receivere spot would be imoroved and we could go 4 WR sets and be really better.
Best Player Available Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 There is a reason SF might cut him. he brings nothing.
DukeyBomb Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 No. Age, talent and his past history being factors. Hogan essentially better imo. I would love Crabtree and Davis and Iupati and a FB. I believe those saying you want him back know zero about team management. I'd give Mike Williams another shot over Stevie too. Feel He was shafted by Marrone.
YoloinOhio Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 (edited) I'll take Crabtree instead. He's a sorry, mediocre WR like Sherman said.(ha), But he's like the red zone threat that never was with Mike Williams. I like Stevie. But he should follow Fitz. Edited January 14, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Nanker Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 SF put him on the shelf in the 2nd half of the year because they didn't want to give The Bills a higher draft pick. I doubt The Bills are interested in retaining his services.
