The Real Buffalo Joe Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) This has most likely been discussed before, but players who spent most of their careers during the current playoff drought that belong on the wall of fame? Only names I can think that might be considered are Eric Moulds, Moorman, and Fred Jackson after he retires of course. Edited January 13, 2015 by The Real Buffalo Joe
Chandemonium Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I would add schobel and IMO he is more deserving than moulds.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I would add schobel and IMO he is more deserving than moulds. I agree. Schobel had 3 career interceptions and Moulds had none.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 I agree. Schobel had 3 career interceptions and Moulds had none. He also has 78 sacks.
May Day 10 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 is #12 retired?I think they shoud retire #78 when they get around to it
Chandemonium Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 is #12 retired? I think they shoud retire #78 when they get around to it I believe 12 is the only officially retired number, but 78 is no longer issued.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 I believe 12 is the only officially retired number, but 78 is no longer issued. Sabres never "officially" retired 39 till tonight. But Miller wore 39 through his whole career, and does now, but out of respect changed it here. I think that's the same deal. I've always said it'd be cool, I don't know about legal, but cool if for some sort of throwback game, our team came out wearing 12, 34, 83, 78, etc, corresponding with their position.
Utah John Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 What about the Electric Company? Joe D is already on the Wall, but what about Reggie McKenzie, Mike Montler, Donnie Green, Dave Foley, and Paul Seymour? Going farther back, Butch Byrd and Tom Day.

I remember asking my brother if he knew what 1234567890 was. The answer of course was a sideline picture of Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Darryl Talley, Bruce Smith, and Phil Hansen.

Noodlearm Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Why is some rookie wearing #66, Billy Shaw's (HOF and WOF) number? is that how the team honors these elite players?
hondo in seattle Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 To me, personally, a lot of the names mentioned are almost deserving of the Wall of Fame.
ChasBB Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Chandler#81 (Bobby, that is) +1 Chandler still my favorite all-time Bills receiver. Would have been a perennial pro-bowler on a better team.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Why is some rookie wearing #66, Billy Shaw's (HOF and WOF) number? is that how the team honors these elite players? There are too many players on a football team to retire every number on the WOF. Keith Rivers wore Darryl Talley's number this year. Lee Evans had Andre Reed's #83 for his career.
