DrDawkinstein Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 If I had to pick one and only one non-Bill, it would have to be: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/81pIrlT1qLL._SL1500_.jpg That guy there. Love the Raiders. Glad someone said Bo in the first 5 posts. He's definitely my all-time favorite non-Bill. Just an amazing athlete and great guy.
dpberr Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I enjoyed watching Christian Okoye play. Great player. Great individual. If it weren't for injuries, he'd be in the Hall of Fame today.
BetterNextYearRight? Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Brett Favre, he made games so much fun win or loss. Current player (still active), MJD or Steve Smith.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Sho is going to be on the other foot in 2 weeks
Chandler#81 Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Joe Willie Namath. Many of my all-time favorites come from this era, but what he did for the AFL's legitimacy can't be understated. Not just Werblin's crazy contract, but his awesome arm. On target 70 yard rockets in nearly every game he played, the game was very staid then and he shown bright with his hair, white cleats charisma and cannon right arm.
swnybillsfan Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 i have to go with barry sanders here. the man did things on the field i have never seen another human being do. he was the greatest running back, and most spectacular athlete i have ever seen play the game.
Buftex Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Greg Landry, Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, John Elway and Brett Favre for me..
ExWNYer Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Barry Sanders...then Jerry Rice, Roger Staubach, & Joe Montana. The greatest player I ever watched in person, Bills or otherwise, was O.J. Simpson.
outsidethebox Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Earl Campbell "mean" Joe Green Jack lambert John Riggens
Fadingpain Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 No Jim Brown mentions? Most people of a generation older than my own say he was the best runner they ever saw. Great speed but he could also run you over like a Mack truck. My personal favorite non-Bill is probably Walter Payton. Of guys currently playing, probably Aaron Rodgers! I think he's the best in the game and he seems like a cool/classy guy.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 Of all the non Bills from before my time, going just by highlight clips, Earl Campbell is the most fun to watch. He'd have like five guys on him, and he'd just plow through. Poor guy has terrible knee problems now and can barely walk because of it. Spends most of his time in a wheelchair. Sad, really.
