Keukasmallies
The Mocker-in-Chief has been proven wrong once again, this time with regard to the current low oil prices. Not only has his negative "position" on increased oil production leading to lower prices been proven wrong; he's now attempting to take credit for the outcomes. No surprise here.... http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/01/13/dems-change-tune-after-mocking-gop-for-drill-baby-drill/

TH3
After 6 years I find it sad that "thinkers" about today's society still seem mesmerized by Obama's every move - thinking that he has some great hand that holds them back - all day every day. Like you get up in the morning and set out to be economic and every day there is a new hurdle from Obama (that he has schemed all night to invent) - thrown in your way. Today's economy has never been more open, capital has never flowed more freely, the principles of Friedman never been more in place, and yet you guys obsess over Obama. That is a tough way to go through your day. BTW - I didn't vote for him - and don't think he is a very good president, and I am hardly what one would call a liberal - so save your one liners. B-Man
HISTORIC IRONY: Looking back at Obama’s 2004 nominating speech. “Reading it now I could almost weep, because it is so deceptive, so unlike the Barack Obama we’ve come to know so well. If the guy portrayed in that speech had won an election, the result probably wouldn’t have been half bad. But that guy never existed; he was an actor reading his lines. 2004 was his first performance on the national stage, and he ought to have won an Oscar for it.” To be fair, he did get a Nobel Peace Prize. . Nanker
What's wrong with having money and power as a core value? Nothing - for people in the private sector. They're not virtues in public servants. 3rdnlng
What's wrong with having money and power as a core value? Money and power in and of themselves are not a core value. They may be a goal, but most likely are the results of core values such as hard work, ingenuity, chance taking, etc.
Keukasmallies
It appears that an important core value for many in our society is waiting: Waiting for someone else to identify each individual's problem, then designing a plan, hand-out, remedy, or other means of fixing the problem. Of course, waiting can also be "productive" in that one can take part in protests against the length of time spent waiting for someone else to solve one's problems, Sheeesh, will we ever stop with the handouts and value initiative, regular work and satisfaction from a job well done?
