YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) Could explain lack of velocity; mechanics Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 4m4 minutes ago Details of Peyton Manning's torn quad injury... http://es.pn/1IErLBK http://fb.me/1JIyZQgWz "Manning did what he could to intentionally conceal the injury from as many people as he could" - Schefter Edited January 12, 2015 by YoloinOhio
dave mcbride Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 That's actually a serious injury. I'm shocked he was able to play.
NoSaint Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 That's actually a serious injury. I'm shocked he was able to play. agreed. assuming it heals well, i suspect he may give another go to end on a higher note... though maybe he wont want to risk injury again if it was as miserable as it sounds.
Pneumonic Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Well, at least he has a convenient excuse for why he choked this playoff run .......
gordong Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Had a feeling he was hurt, He took a nose dive off the cliff and it usually dosent happen THAT fast. If they get rid of Fox I think Manning will retire.
MichFan Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Makes sense, considering how the Broncos offense abruptly shifted to a power running game and short passes while rarely stretching the field the last few regular season games.
bobobonators Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Not gonna lie, i hope he comes back 1 more year. Him giong out like this seems so anticlimactic .
nucci Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Isn't that against league policy to not disclose an injury?
TheFunPolice Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I knew he was hurt... You don't just suddenly become unable to make throws due to age
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 28s28 seconds ago Specifically: Peyton Manning has a torn rectus femoris, which runs down center of thigh. Bruising was so severe it spread to back of his leg
boyst Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I get that it is a bad injury but am laughing at everyone pointing the finger at him for the loss. The Denver D stank the field up.
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Albert Breer @AlbertBreer 3m3 minutes ago Broncos source said Peyton Manning's quad injury was diagnosed as strain in Dec. As he usually does, Manning kept details mostly to himself.
TheFunPolice Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I hope he comes back with a new HC and goes out on a better note... Dwnver fans booing him off the field was sick to watch
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 I hope he comes back with a new HC and goes out on a better note... Dwnver fans booing him off the field was sick to watch it really was. I understand being disappointed but geez
peterpan Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 He was obviously toast all December. It was sad to watch. I am very glad it was an injury and not simply his age. I hope he comes back. Peyton is the best ever and has significant class unlike those cheaters out on the east coast whom deserve an asterisks next to every victory and record they "earned"
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Farewell, horsehead part deux. Now you can follow Elway off into the land of the horseheads.
stevestojan Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 If he was really that injured, then he was very selfish by playing. He was throwing absolutely ducks last night. I get it, he's Peyton. But a torn muscle and still playing likely didn't give his team the best chance to win.

He did throw some Peyton-like passes.
