YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) OL coach? @MMehtaNYDN: Rex Ryan is interested in Buffalo RT @RapSheet: Cowboys OC/OL coach Bill Callahans contract is up. Edited January 15, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Nanker Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 The positional coaching jobs will be interesting to watch. I think Rex will have the gravitas to bring some really good talent here. That and the Pegula's open wallet bodes well for the team in a number of ways.
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Browns interested in him as OC... But the JFF factor could cause some coaches to think twice.
GunnerBill Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Think is Roman is really an o-line and run game guy. Callahan would be a good o-line coach but I think the QB and WR coaches are going to be far more important in terms of incorperting the passing game into our scheme.
thewildrabbit Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 He has a higher rank then that with the Cowboys as he is their run game coordinator. I suspect he will need a better title, perhaps say assistant HC along with run game coordinator to pull him away from Dallas.

Lurker Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 OL coach? @MMehtaNYDN: Rex Ryan is interested in Buffalo RT @RapSheet: Cowboys OC/OL coach Bill Callahans contract is up. http://espn.go.com/dallas/nfl/story/_/id/12167880/bill-callahan-re-sign-dallas-cowboys-wants-consider-other-teams So is Rex still interested, or has the job already gone to Chris Forester?
Deranged Rhino Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 His contract is up; he can leave for whatever position he wants. Please, Terry & Kim, make him the highest paid position coach in the history of the league and bring him here. Double whatever offer he gets.
gordong Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) Best one out there.... Sic em, Daddy Terry! hahahaha Edited January 15, 2015 by gordong
Kelly the Dog Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Yes, please. I have a feeling that Pegula has said to Whaley, Overdorf, and Brandon, "Look, don't screw us on the future cap with outrageous spending, but we've been making 30$ mil or so profit a year. I don't necessarily want to lose money in any calendar year in a league that prints it, but if you need to take a mil or two out of petty cash to pay a little extra for a good offensive line coach, just do it and leave a note in the box."
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Again, you do realize we have a salary cap.. Does that apply to coaches? I never thought it did.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Does that apply to coaches? I never thought it did. No, it doesn't.
Deranged Rhino Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 No, it doesn't. Which is why I would pay Callahan whatever he wants. Make the offer so ridiculous he'd be foolish to walk away. He'd be worth every penny to a guy with Terry's bank roll.
White Linen Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Browns interested in him as OC... But the JFF factor could cause some coaches to think twice. JFF = Johnny Flag Football?

He'd be worth every penny to a guy with Terry's bank roll. Precisely. Which is why I said... Deranged Rhino Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Precisely. Which is why I said... I missed that! Absolutely.
Doc Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Reports are the 49'ers will only keep Tom Rathman, so Solari should be free.
gordong Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Callahan, Solari, Sparano, all would be huge HUGE upgrades over what we had.
