Buffalo Beeeews Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Last check, his interview with the New York Jets reportedly did not go well. Now it appears he's not even being considered for not only that job but I haven't heard his name mentioned elsewhere as even a possible candidate. Am I mistaken? If not, serves ya right, St. Doug! Nobody wants nor respects a quitter. Rex coming here, on the other hand, gives me more respect for him than I already had. The QB situation here (as of right now) is pretty grim. He could've taken probably more attractive jobs (if offered) in either Atlanta or San Francisco with more stable QB situations in those two cities with Matt Ryan and Colin Kaepernick, respectively. Instead, Rex chose Buffalo. Rex has never shyed away from a challenge. I think we're in good hands. Thoughts?
TheFunPolice Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 NFL guys understand getting fired. It's an honorable way to go out. Go down swinging. But quitting does not compute.
Peter Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Rex loves a challenge and never quit in his life. Marrone . . . not so much.
BarleyNY Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 But, but, but, wasn't he super close to getting hired by somebody? Just like when the Browns were rumored to be on the verge of offering him the HC job in Cleveland and the Bills rushed to hire him. It was BS then and it was BS a week ago. This guy is a .500 coach who thinks of himself (and portrays himself) as an elite HC.
Buffalo Beeeews Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 If the man winds up jobless, even if for only a year, justice was officially served. One wonders had the Bills in fact squeeked in the playoffs, would he have done the same thing? Would the reaction from fans been worse?!
Kelly the Dog Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Actually, he walked out on and quit the Earth, thinking he would be hired on another planet.
YoloinOhio Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) Remember the guy who buried Marrone in the NY Daily news... @MMehtaNYDN: Biggest winners today: Buffalo Bills fans. Edited January 11, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Peter Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 In retrospect, that quitter did us a HUGE favor and, in the process, may have destroyed his HC career in the NFL.
plenzmd1 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 LaConfora saying he might be top of list in Atlanta
Peter Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 LaConfora saying he might be top of list in Atlanta I am beginning to think that (based on LaConfora's reports etc.) that LaConfora is the media shill for Marrone.
transient Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Actually, he walked out on and quit the Earth, thinking he would be hired on another planet. Technically, he "opted off" of the earth, but don't blame him, it was his contractual right. The people of this planet should be getting a second-hand text about it any minute now.
YoloinOhio Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Hackett will fall off next......No interviews yet for young Nate. Maybe Pettine will hire him in Cleveland.
Niagara Dude Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I heard is either takes a consulting job with the Texans or will open a punting academy.Either way he has many options here with his coaching skill set
plenzmd1 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I am beginning to think that (based on LaConfora's reports etc.) that LaConfora is the media shill for Marrone. Him and Adam Schein
Niagara Dude Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Hackett will fall off next...... I heard he has been offered head of parking down at One Bills Drive 5 year deal on the table $12 bucks a hour. I heard he has been offered head of parking down at One Bills Drive 5 year deal on the table $12 bucks a hour. He is holding out for having opt out after two years something he learned from his buddy Marrone.
SWOntarioBillsfan Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Opted out on being part of the human race.
