NoSaint Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Expect Adam Gase to get the HCing job in Denver, and looks like Manning is also gone if they are going cheaper id assume manning would stick around to ease the transition as he really likes gase, if i had to throw wild guesses out.
Saint Doug Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 This is similar to Harbaugh mutually agreeing to leave the 49ers. Not unless they hid their friction extremely well and Fox has a $48 million contract already lined up at his alma mater.
thewildrabbit Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Aren't coaches salaries guaranteed unless they themselves quit (except for the unmentionable one)? I highly doubt someone would walk away from that much money (unless compromising photographs were involved). Yea, if they are fired they will continue to be paid by the team that fires them, and If they part ways there is no more money from the team. So there is a difference. John Fox will have another head coaching job within a week, and probably for more money.
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 Oh @YahooNoise: Bombshell. RT @VicLombardi: NEW INFO: Entire Broncos coaching staff let go. Not just John Fox. All assistants gone per several players.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I cannot imagine they go into next season with Brock Osweiller as the QB and Adam Gase as the HC. Manning must be staying. Stranger things have happened, but none of us except for Buffalo Barbarian could think of one.

YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 @ProFootballTalk: Broncos let entire staff go? Yeah, that's not a ringing endorsement of Adam Gase.
eball Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 So are we saying the Bills not hiring Gase was a good thing?
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) @ESPNStatsInfo: Per @EliasSports: John Fox is 2nd coach to not return after 3 straight 12-win seasons, joins Tony Dungy who retired in 2008 after 6 straight Well now Gase could just be a OC somewhere. Stranger things have happened, but none of us except for Buffalo Barbarian could think of one. If Manning stays, the pick has got to be Shanny. It makes all the sense in the world. He lives in Denver already, Elway loves the guy. And hiring him might be the best way to convince Manning to give it one more year.
thewildrabbit Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 All I see from the perspective that the entire staff has been let go is that John Elway to the entire staff that they are free to seek jobs elsewhere. Pretty sure Gase is already slotted for the Denver HCing job, and if not he has an interview with the 49ers. Denver probably figured they would lose Gase, so this is why they made this move.
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 @JasonLaCanfora: Doing more digging on Broncos opening - would actually be very surprised if they went in-house, including Gase. Won't be M. Shanahan either Kubiak?

YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 @nfldraftscout: Jack Del Rio and Adam Gase have both been linked to head coaching jobs...and they both just got fired by the Broncos.

And hiring him might be the best way to convince Manning to give it one more year. I could see that happening and it becoming a monumental disaster. Git 'er done, Broncs!! For selfish reasons, namely Julius Thomas and a couple OL, I hope Manning retires and the Broncos start over with Gase.
thewildrabbit Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 32m32 minutes ago Harbaugh and Fox hired in 2011. 90 combined regular season wins. 7 playoff appearances. 2 Super Bowl appearances, both no longer with team. This really is crazy stuff when both head coaches have recently taken their respective teams to the super bowl, and yet are no longer wanted. Here us Bills fans, and all we want is a stinking, lousy playoff appearance. 0 for 15 years
YoloinOhio Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) If it was really just an injury with Manning and he could recover to play another year... Would they really clean house like this? I doubt it. Fox to Bears? Poor St Doug @RapSheet: John Foxs best friend in coaching is Sean Payton. #Bears GM Ryan Pace worked closely with Payton. Safe to say Fox has all the info he needs Edited January 12, 2015 by YoloinOhio
thewildrabbit Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 If not Adam Gase, it should be interesting to see who is on John Elway's radar as better then John Fox and a 12-4 record.
