Beef Jerky Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 260 miles lol IMO They are close. Even before the season started I had thought 9-7 record and EJ as the starter. bills homerism I suppose. The D was arguably as good as last season, the fewer sacks due to less blitzing by Petines scheme. The run game was as good or bad as last season. So maybe with a better coach buying into the DW players I can still see improvement. The defense was lightyears better and that was without Kiko.
ganesh Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 top offensive coach (we never get the "top" guys though) and a free agent QB and we are in the playoffs. top offensive coach and we get lucky in the late rounds drafting a QB and we are in the playoffs for many years to come. i love our defense and we have a lot of good special teams players. we are THIS close The problem with these answers is that there is nothing concrete. Which FA QA do you think will take this team to the playoffs.
blargo Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 The problem with these answers is that there is nothing concrete. Which FA QA do you think will take this team to the playoffs. I do not think any of the FA QB's are the answer for anything but backup. I think it needs to be trade and that is the big unknown. If it is EJ and some FA QB I think it will be a season much like this one, close but not quite there...
K D Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 The problem with these answers is that there is nothing concrete. Which FA QA do you think will take this team to the playoffs. I'm sure that's one of the questions they are asking the coaches in the interviews. The coach will want yo bring in his own guy. None of these guys are expecting to win with EJ or Tuel

Chandler#81 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 1074 miles. Pretty much, everyone has hit on it ie: QB OL RB and quick transition/acceptance of new HC. I'll take it a bit further. Sans another whopping trade, we're not going to get much better play @QB. The OL doesn't suck near as much as many people claim, IMO, but they're transitioning from smaller, more agile players to monster smashers. -at least they were.. under Marrone. What I think we have is a worrisome issue of some smaller agile guys and monsters -which just don't work well. Depending on who runs the Offense, they at least have a couple tools of their preference already on board. So, they'll be in the same boat the previous regime was -just a couple players away from instituting an effective OL. My hidden X Factor is a great RB. This 6 year love affair with the now evident aged Fred has us forgetting what a truly great back can do for a team. Maybe, just maybe..he's on the roster and was just used poorly by Marrone & Hacker.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 A good offensive staff away. The OG's are on the team now. So is the QB. Kiko back, sign Hughes. Draft Best TE in round two. Trade back into the 2nd and get best RB available. Draft DB and Linemen with the rest of picks. Playoff team right there and maybe more.
3rdand12 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I honestly dont know. Lets see what we get for coaching and how the Bills reshape the " Offensive" line. in other words. Too soon

I see Freddy probably being more of a role player or specialist for the next season or two. He did not seem to have the same confidence in his ability this year.
