Buffaloed in Pa Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Baylor 6-3 220 29 tds 7 ints 63 comp. rate 2014. 2013 season 32 tds -3 ints 62 comp rate. Looked at his highlights...a lot. That`s a pile of tds and not a lot of picks. Every prospects have their ups and downs, but I think he can help. Seems to have a take charge attitude. Rip on ...like always.
CSBill Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I would like this if he is still there when the Bills pick. He also seems to be very athletic, moves well.

Ozymandius Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 He's definitely the guy people will bandwagon behind if their team's pick is out of reach for Mariota and Winston. I'm pretty skeptical but I'd rather draft him (or another flawed prospect) than not. You miss every shot you don't take.
voodoo poonani Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 OK Bryce Petty in the 2nd and Brandon Doughty in the third +EJ for the training camp competition

respk Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 (edited) I think Petty would be a good pick up in the 2nd. Add in 2 FAs/trades and the Bills would be good to go for this year at least. Edited January 4, 2015 by respk

BuffaloWings Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I like Petty a million times more than Winston. I'd like Mariota, but he won't be available. I don't think it'll happen, but if Petty is still on the board when the Bills pick, I hope Whaley makes it happen.
BuffaloPride Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I would rather have Grayson if he is still there. Petty did have a great game in the Cotton bowl though.
Buffaloed in Pa Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Petty wont be there at 50. He might Hundley and a couple others are ranked ahead for some reason. I think it was because of his back injury ,which has healed. Petty wont be there at 50. Hundley and Prescott are ranked ahead. So he`d be the 5th Qb in a supposed bad Qb draft.

Sojourner Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) As long as there's no Heartbreakers... Ayyyyyyyy! Seriously though, I know virtually nothing about the kid. I am guessing he's at least a 2 year project if we draft him? Edited January 5, 2015 by Smooth
bonechiller Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 First I saw of him was in the bowl game on new years day. I liked what I saw, definitely. Threw for 550 yards, and not his first 500 yard game either. If he only had the few picks you say he did, that's cool, because it isn't for a lack of throwing. Seems to have good accuracy on short and long throws. If there is a chance, I would even move up a little to try to get him.

Question is what would it take to move up from 50 to an earlier 2nd round pick?
Bangarang Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 (edited) I don't think Petty is that good of an NFL prospect. He benefits from playing in a great system while throwing to open receivers constantly. His accuracy his shotty and questionable. It's a really weak QB class this year outside of Mariota. I'd be surprised if he went before the 5th round. Edited January 5, 2015 by Bangarang

r00tabaga Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 @Bangarang. You just described Mariota to a tee! And to the other poster who says that Prescott is rated higher than Petty...thank you.....I needed a good laugh!
Bubba Gump Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I'll take Petty as long as we bring Baylors HC and OC in. He's definitely good running an uptempo offense.
