dave mcbride Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 His record in SD from 2004-2012 was 91-53. He didn't leave the cupboard bare either; they've had winning records in each of the two seasons after he left. He obviously did a good job in Buffalo. Yet I've seen nothing but negative comments about him on this board, as if a GM can only be good if the team wins every year. That's obviously not realistic. Is it that he's widely repudiated as a real jerk who is difficult to work with driving this? That's my hunch, but I thought it was scoreboard that mattered. Incidentally, the 2006 Chargers were one of the better teams of the last decade, and if freaking Marlon McRee knocks down that 4th down pass instead of intercepting Tommy, the Pats would have lost.
YoloinOhio Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) All I know is he left a huge cap issue in SD. And got rid of some really good players - DRC, Vincent Jackson, Darren Sproles Edited January 3, 2015 by YoloinOhio
Fixxxer Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Didn't he fired Schotty after a 14-2 record? If I'm not mistaken that is why Nix left San Diego to play golf.
