HOUSE Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 A few years back he was the hot topic on this board. A must sign Head coach Just Curious why his name is not mention here much The 49ers are interested http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/12/31/report-49ers-have-talked-to-mike-shanahan/
Big Turk Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Cause his tenure with the Redskins ended in disaster
HOUSE Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Cause his tenure with the Redskins ended in disaster Sure, Bill Billichick's tunure in Cleveland ended the same way. Shanahan is a 2 time Superbowl winner, do we really need a better reason to hire him ? Edited January 2, 2015 by HOUSE
Mango Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Not in a million years at this point. I would seriously interview Kyle though. He was there for the Jets success, saw RG3 successful, until his dad ruined him. Did pretty well in Cleveland this year, and Brian Hoyer is not good.
Nick the Greek Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 He was good a long time ago.. Time to move on
HOUSE Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 He was good a long time ago.. Time to move on Sure, move that guy right on to Buffalo.
Rob's House Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) He was good a long time ago.. Time to move on He won the NFC East three years ago. Edited January 2, 2015 by Rob's House
frogger Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I mentioned it in a previous post, I'd be for it if we were also getting cutler, he was pro bowl QB when MS was his coach, I think they were pretty close too
The Jokeman Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) He won the NFC East three years ago. and his former OC with the Broncos, Gary Kubiak, won the AFC South two seasons ago. I'm a Kubiak fan and hope we can get him. Edited January 2, 2015 by The Jokeman
Rob's House Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 and his former OC with the Broncos, Gary Kubiak, won the AFC South two seasons ago. I'm a Kubiak fan and hope we can get him. I don't want either one of them. Just pointing out that Shannahan has had success fairly recently.
voodoo poonani Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Shanahan sucks, if it weren't for Elway, he'd be a nobody.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Nobody wants a football coach who looks like George Hamilton.
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Not in a million years at this point. I would seriously interview Kyle though. He was there for the Jets success, saw RG3 successful, until his dad ruined him. Did pretty well in Cleveland this year, and Brian Hoyer is not good. You're combining Kyle Shanahan with Brian Schottenheimer- Shanahan never coached the Jets.
ExWNYer Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Shanahan sucks, if it weren't for Elway, he'd be a nobody. Bingo. I was glad that he turned down the Bills a couple of years ago and I'll be glad that they don't consider him this time. He's not an innovative mind for today's game...he's just a washed-up retread.
4merper4mer Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Coaches I'd hire before Shanahan: Jauron Marrone Chan Marv Hackett And many more
HOUSE Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Coaches I'd hire before Shanahan: Jauron Marrone Chan Marv Hackett And many more Now you know why we finish 6-10 almost every year
VirginiaMike Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Shanahan would not take the job without total control and I don;t think he deserves that. I wish we had signed Kyle as our O-Coordinator, but missed that one.
Dirtbag Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Didn't he play us last time? i'm pretty sure that both brian shottenheimer and shanahan played us previously. really looking forward to seeing who plays us this go 'round! Edited January 2, 2015 by Dirtbag
4merper4mer Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Now you know why we finish 6-10 almost every year Shanahan is all about Shanahan. And he is clueless. Case in point: Robert Griffin the knee
