YoloinOhio Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Mariota v Winston TE Nick O'Leary for FSU could be a Bills draft target Welp @BruceFeldmanCFB: #FSU All-American TE Nick O'Leary (tweaked hamstring in warm-ups) is struggling accelerating and stumbling out of his cuts.
LB3 Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Good first half. Winston looks more comfortable throwing downfield than Mariota so far.
Hazed and Amuzed Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Winston is 10x the QB Mariota is. If Winston wasn't such a knucklehead there would be no doubt who the best QB in college football is.
YoloinOhio Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Too many bubble screens for mariota. Need to throw it downfield.
starrymessenger Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Oregon may well win this game and a national championship. But I have no doubt who the better pro QB prospect is. It's not that 212 pound spread QB. Mariota.is a fine college QB tho, don't get me wrong.
Max997 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Mariota is a really good college QB who won't do jack in the NFL.
mannc Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Mariota will play better in the second half, but I have to agree that Winston looks really good. He throws a nice ball, has good mobility and he is a commanding physical presence. Edited January 2, 2015 by mannc
mannc Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 The way Winston delivers the ball reminds me a lot of Brady. I have no idea how he threw 17 INTs this year.
truth on hold Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Winston is a powerhouse out there. IMO he is the best prospect since luck by a mile. Right now it looks like ducks will win, but it's more about mistakes on defense and the fsu fumbles than a QB vs QB showdown. Edited January 2, 2015 by JTSP
starrymessenger Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 The way Winston delivers the ball reminds me a lot of Brady. I have no idea how he threw 17 INTs this year. He's got a funny delivery. I wouldn't call it a hitch, more like loading motion. Makes me wonder whether he fully engages his lower body and transfers his weight properly.
LB3 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Too bad about the fumbles. This was shaping up to be quite the duel.
BuffOrange Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) All I heard in the buildup to this was how good it was for FSU to be the underdog. Which was odd since they're 27-0 as a favorite the last two years and 0-0 as a dog. Edited January 2, 2015 by BuffOrange

FloridaSnow Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Too bad about the fumbles. This was shaping up to be quite the duel. This. Could have been a great game. Feel bad for Cook there. What a way to end what was otherwise a great freshman season. MM looks great but is that style really going to transfer over to the NFL in a sustainable way?
YoloinOhio Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Oh my. Noles burning 2 time outs in the 3rd qtr not going to help the epic comeback Edit: the fumble and TD won't either
