Marrone and Hackett were eager to take responsibility for installing their O, and grooming Fitzpatrick's replacement. They happily explained their hybrid, K-Gun / West Coast offense to the media and then patiently waited for players that could execute their wonderful system but after two seasons, it was evident the players they needed weren't coming - in fact - some were leaving! so Marrone decded he'd just ask for more time, and more players - to get it right but the FO didn't think that another couple years would help Marrone fix the mess this made Marrone very sad until he remembered he could exercise an option to take 4 million dollars, and run as far and as fast from Buffalo as he could so it was "Adios Muthafuggers!!" rumblefish Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 loved it, but if you look for the positive in this consider this, Marrone get a paid bail out from a organization, who from day one never gave public support, does the smart thing takes the money and runs, The P's get public support from fans thinking Marrone abandoned them for the bucks, 4 million is getting off cheap, Great fan PR, for Bills and avoiding explaining firing of a 9-7 coach who was not going to be part of the Bills future, so it' s winner/winner chicken dinner for everyone but the fans, Management smoke and mirrors at it's best
