1billsfan Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 (edited) I think its pretty simple if they hire Reich. They keep Schwartz as DC but also promote him to assistant HC CBF I've come to the conclusion that Frank Reich is the "safe" pick. Do I think the Bills should go "safe"? No I don't. I just think that he doesn't have the demeanor you want in an NFL head coach. He's very smart and he knows the NFL and offenses, but I think with being a head coach you need much more than that. You need a little bit of that cockiness and brashness that all of the great coaches have. Players need to feel their head coach has an edginess to them. My picks are either Darrell Bevell or Pep Hamilton. Two guys with proven track records on offense who have a little of that natural cockiness and brashness in their personalities that you should want in your head coach. I don't want the Bills to play it safe. We didn't want Marrone to play it safe so why should we play it safe now? Edited January 8, 2015 by 1billsfan
Dan Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Personally, I'm torn on Reich being our HC. On one hand, if he ever becomes a good HC and leads a team to the playoffs, I would love for it to be the Bills. It would be an awesome story and feeling. However, of all the candidates currently being considered, he seems to have the least amount of experience. And is therefore, the biggest question mark. With that all said, I'll say the same thing I said about marronie... His success or failure as a HC will boil down to who he hires as his assistant coaches. If he plans to run the offense, then he's not the guy for the job.
