truth on hold Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Mine: Rex Ryan I know there are issues to get around like relationship with Schwartz and defense having 4-3 personnel, but I think that gets sorted out in favor of a guy who's had legit success against bellichick and knows other teams in the division well. Don't forget winning division is easiest way to make post season because it means beating just 3 other teams (ask panthers). Probably also somehow personal about sticking it to jets for allegedly courting marrone into option out. I say book it, Rex is coming here
FireChan Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Some relatively unknown college coach that we all read up on and buy into with an okay pedigree.
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Bill Belicheat... Brings his Boy Brady too! Bills then go 2-14 because The Ralph is not "wired for sound." Only two wins come in Kansas City & London. How's that for surreal!
Not at the table Karlos Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Ryan uses the same defense as pettine but better at run D. It worked just fine with the same roster
peterpan Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Urban Meyer! Root for OSU and with championships at both schools he will have dominated cfb for years and will want to try his skills at the nfl!!!
HOUSE Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) It better be an upgrade to an experienced proven winner....if not then this is a HUGE mistake Another bright young assistant scares the **** out of me. If anyone mentions the word rebuilding, I will puke my head off.... I have to go with Cowher, Shannahan, Gruden. Knee Jerk- Schwartz - Edited January 1, 2015 by HOUSE
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Ryan uses the same defense as pettine but better at run D. It worked just fine with the same roster I have got to think this would be a huge draw for rex to come here.
truth on hold Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 I have got to think this would be a huge draw for rex to come here. He should have beaten pats 2x this year and with inferior talent to ours. He'd inherit the personnel that swept jets. We own Miami. Expected division record w/Rex: 5 & 1
truth on hold Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 (edited) Ryan uses the same defense as pettine but better at run D. It worked just fine with the same roster Also with kiko coming back, bradbams development, and browns rookie season we suddenly find ourselves with a healthy core of LBs that should entice Rex. I could see him thinking he could mold our secondary into something special too, certainly better than jets sans Revis and Cro Edited January 1, 2015 by JTSP
Prickly Pete Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 We already have a stellar defense, why bring in a coach (Rex Ryan) who builds great defenses (which is actually already "in hand"), but has never had a good offense? Isn't that what this team already has?
NastyNateSoldiers Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 This is my wish list #1- Bill Cowher #2-Gus Malzahn #3-Art Briles #4-Rex Ryan #5-Frank Reich #6-Jim Schwartz
