Proteus
I think we traded that pick for Brown but not 100% sure.
DrDawkinstein
No, the second they were out of contention, they basically deactivated him so he wouldnt hit the qualifiers. I think we traded that pick for Brown but not 100% sure. We traded that 4th, but if Stevie made the numbers to bump it to a 3rd, we got that pick back. I dont know the details of how that all would have worked, but that was the situation.

HeightsBills
So the Bills will have picks is the following rounds: 2, 3, 5 (2 picks), 6, 7.

YoloinOhio
Used on Bryce Brown barely 20 minutes after we got it. could be pushed to 2016 - his production qualifiers are also a factor. I believe that is why he was inactive as long as possible while the other 3 RBs were healthy.

There were so many moving parts to that trade, Ive never been able to find or follow all of the details.
YoloinOhio
This is a good breakdown of the trade http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2014/05/11/state-of-the-2015-draft/ I dunno, but SF was out pretty early too, so he barely saw the field this year. I looked up his numbers for this very reason a few days ago. They made him inactive as soon as they were knocked out of contention. He had something like 436 or so yards and 3 TDs in 13 games. Don't know what his qualifiers were but he didn't do much.
frogger
I've been wondering if SF was going to actually keep him, I know a lot of people here didn't care for him but I think the mike Williams/Bryce brown/Stevie Johnson thing was an all around failure, I have to believe he would have been a bigger factor than William or Brown Edited December 31, 2014 by frogger
BobbyC81
Used on Bryce Brown barely 20 minutes after we got it. So, our 4th went to Cleveland in Watkins deal. We got a 4th from SF for SJ and then traded it to Philly for Brown?

Dibs
So, our 4th went to Cleveland in Watkins deal. We got a 4th from SF for SJ and then traded it to Philly for Brown? Maybe, but doubtful. It depends upon Brown's performance.....unlikely that he has hit production levels. From wiki.... Buffalo → Philadelphia (PD). Buffalo traded their seventh-round selection in the 2014 draft (224th) to Philadelphia in exchange for running back Bryce Brown and Philadelphia's 2014 seventh-round selection (237th). The trade also included a conditional future selection to be received by Philadelphia which will either be this pick, which Buffalo may receive from San Francisco (depending on whether Stevie Johnson hits certain undisclosed statistical thresholds in 2014) or Buffalo's third- or fourth-round selection in 2016 (depending on Brown achieving undisclosed performance levels in 2014). Yes I am aware, but had we not traded for MW we probably wouldn't have traded SJ and the pick from SJ was essentially nullified by the brown trade...that's my connection one leads to another. Maybe but I think SJ would have been gone either way. They had been trying to trade him since at least the combine. Didn't mesh with EJ. Question is - if they knew Orton would have been starting most of the year would they still have done it.... 4th rd pick for him is actually decent value
BrooklynBills
So the Bills will have picks is the following rounds: 2, 3, 5 (2 picks), 6, 7. That's ok. The Bills are only a few players away from kinda, sorta, possibly making the playoffs as a wildcard team.
