rumblefish Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 sign all three, bring bowden out of retirement t o be HC, than you would have FSU North, talk about global warming
bigK14094 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Dareus is an all pro, the best of what you want to draft. (well, a few off field problems) None the less, no trade involving him makes sense.
aristocrat Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 tampa already has a decent def line. I'd do it for Mariotta but not Winston. SIgn Donkey Kong Suh and we're good to go.
Wayne Cubed Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Yes let's trade away our young prospering DT. Kyle Williams will be 32 next season. The Bills could be going from 2 Pro Bowl DT to zero. Brilliant idea Joe, have you thought of submitting your resume to OBD? This statement is for clicks. He does it all the time, calls them #HotTakes. The more ridiculous the more clicks he gets. Guys a communications major not a numbers guy.
San-O Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 He said he would trade Marcel Dareus, next year's first and our 1st pick this year for the #1 overall pick this year, in which he would pick Jamies Winston. But the Sammy trade was too risky ... You don't trade away picks for receivers.
TSOL Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 A better question would be, is if Winston falls to our first pick at #50 would you take him. And if so, how much time would you be willing to give him?
CardinalScotts Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) Joe b never had credibility....how could he from intern to beat writer is laughable.....no football experience at any level. But that's wgr 4 hosts of a sports talk show who couldn't throw a ball 10 feet in the air. Yet they prop joe b up there like he knows anything and what's worse ....the idiots who value his opinion Edited December 30, 2014 by CardinalScotts
Canadian Bills Fan Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I have to admit that Joe B is usually spot on with his draft analysis but this is just insane.... CBF
dave mcbride Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 seems like ej 2.0 lol I suggest reading this. He is not EJ 2.0. http://mmqb.si.com/2014/12/23/jameis-winston-nfl-prospect-florida-state/
Big Blitz Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 This is why there are already rumblings the Titans will be trading back. Some team is going to go all Redskins and trade up to 2 to get Jameis. Do we have a thread on the QBs coming out? How hasn't this happened yet?
dave mcbride Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Winston is dumb as a stump and a character risk. He might grow up, but he won't get smarter. If you read the SI piece, he is apparently not a stupid football player.
BringBackFergy Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Jameis couldn't handle the temptation at Dave & Busters or Joe's Crab Shack
Captain Hindsight Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Andrew Luck coming out of college, yes. Jameis Winston, hell no. Yup I don't trust Winston at all

How hasn't this happened yet? a couple weeks ago we had one because Kiper announced in his opinion there were no franchise QBs in this draft
Big Blitz Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 a couple weeks ago we had one because Kiper announced in his opinion there were no franchise QBs in this draft I made the argument a while back that it would not surprise me at all if Whaley and Co felt the same thus had no problem dealing the 2015 1st. He also keeps saying "there are more ways then the draft to get a QB."
Dibs Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 If Winston was worth the trade.....there would be no chance that a QB needy team such as TB would make the trade.
HT02 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Agreed that is just stupid, Winston is not a sure-fire starter in this league, he is a quite a bit like his predecessor Manuel. They have a lot of the same issues, questions about arm strength, decision making (on the field) and accuracy. I want a traditional pocket passer.
YoloinOhio Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 If Winston was worth the trade.....there would be no chance that a QB needy team such as TB would make the trade. that is why the trade was possible for RG3 but not Luck, IMO
dave mcbride Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) Agreed that is just stupid, Winston is not a sure-fire starter in this league, he is a quite a bit like his predecessor Manuel. They have a lot of the same issues, questions about arm strength, decision making (on the field) and accuracy. I want a traditional pocket passer. See above. They're actually not alike. He is a traditional pocket passer with one of the best arms you'll see. As for accuracy, he had a WHIP of 0.76 last year as a pitcher in an elite conference, and that is just sensational: http://www.thebaseba...=jameis-winston . He tops out at 94-95 mph, by the way, and that would give him the strongest arm in the league (Kaep topped out at 91). I'm not advocating drafting Winston at all -- I know he has a ton of problems. But he's a great QB who possesses all of the tools--phenomenal arm, good accuracy, an ability to quickly read complex defenses, and a winner. Edited December 30, 2014 by dave mcbride
