switz1610 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 With Mike Smith getting fired and a new HC in Atlanta, could Matt Ryan be available for trade? Usually new HCs like to bring in their own guy so this could be a situation to monitor.

Mr. WEO Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 No, He is the best player in their organization. Trading a QB like that is career suicide. Exactly. Wow, sweet thread!
plenzmd1 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 The whole reason that job is so attractive is BECAUSE Matt Ryan is there. He ain't going anywhere.
GunnerBill Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 No. As everyone else has said he is the reason the Falcons will have the most attractive HC job on the market. But on the 0.000000000001% chance he is.... then sell the whole damn farm for him! He makes this team an instant Superbowl contender IMO.
mead107 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 No Gets about 9 million next year. Of his 119 million contract Best part of team

RuntheDamnBall Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Yeah, there is zero, zero chance of that, unless their next hire at HC is a bona fide idiot.
John in Jax Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Yeah, there is zero, zero chance of that, unless their next hire at HC is a bona fide idiot. Well, if the Bills fire Marrone, and he gets hired by Atlanta.....you'd be spot on. LOL
RuntheDamnBall Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Well, if the Bills fire Marrone, and he gets hired by Atlanta.....you'd be spot on. LOL While funny, Marrone would probably kill a mofo to get a QB like Matt Ryan, and has probably thought about it.

jjmac Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Even if he was available, do we really have any trade power?
atlbillsfan1975 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 No way. Falcons hire Rex, he gets a couple vets and a draft pick or two on D and the Falcons win the SB.
switz1610 Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 vaughn mcclure @vxmcclure23 6m6 minutes ago Asked if Matt Ryan played like an elite QB in 2014, there was silence for a moment with Blank, Dimitroff, and McKay.
DrDawkinstein Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I came up with Matt Ryan's name a couple of weeks ago in the "Could the Bills trade their entire draft for a QB?" thread. Heres my post: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/173875-ok-can-we-trade-every-pick-we-have-left/#entry3364445 It's a ridiculous long shot that will never ever happen, but it can be twisted to make sense if the Falcons are in re-build mode, want to dump cap space, and acquire picks. Theyd never do it, but it's our best option.
boyst Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Matt Ryan has an OL on par with ours in Buffalo. I'm not sure he'd be much of an upgrade until we upgrade the OL. Giving away our draft will not allow us to do that, especially factoring in we have little room to bring in FA's.
