CardinalScotts Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 bad time as a player for him to leave.....not that he wouldn't be in the league but hardly any leverage as a starter.....he might stay for the final year.
Heels20X6 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 He'll go to the Saints, put up huge numbers like Sproles did in that offense with Brees, and this board will be split with "We never used him properly!" and "he never did this in Buffalo!" camps. See: Lynch, Marshawn
billsfan89 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 The Dougs have expressed interest in keeping Spiller around. Hackett was extremely excited to have him (never did get him to puke though). That being said, I don't think he stays. OL is a major issue, but he clearly suffers from a lack of field vision. Jackson was considerably slower this year, but saw the field so clearly and was shifty as ever. Spiller wasn't on the field enough to benefit from all those checkdown throws Freddy got. I wonder if he would have done better in those situations. Lack of a reliable passing game is what really hurt CJ. Teams loaded up the box and keyed in on Spiller. Chan had some success because he schemed his whole game plan around CJ. Without a reliable passing game CJ was never going to be effective. Players like Reggie Bush, Sproles, and Spiller are all only effective in a passing game that diverts the attention of the defense.
BringBackFergy Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 with philly on next years schedule, do we really want cj to go to the eagles???? If he runs into the middle of our D line and gains one yard, I invite the opportunity. If Chip Kelly uses him in some other fashion with success, maybe not.
rfk Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) About as absent as his pass blocking lets hope so In the last game it showed up...he was afraid to block in the backfield...he's not a half back not even a quarter of a back...good ridden bye bye Edited December 30, 2014 by rfk
Codyny13 Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Philly parts w McCoy, spiller signs w philly. Yep.
Maury Ballstein Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Adios señor Spiller. Appreciate all you did. Good luck on the next stop. i be rooting for you unless it's the pats. Even then I'll chuckle as you kill us.
Deranged Rhino Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Good luck, CJ. Though I hated the pick at 9 and proclaimed even if you became a HOFer, it'd be a wasted pick, even I always liked watching you run. ...Just not into the back of your lineman.
Codyny13 Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Dude will be a stud in ny or philly I think. But I totally understand the trade and I approve.
BillnutinHouston Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Considering that it's been reported that the Bills called him aready to tell him they're going in a different direction, I'd guess he is as good as gone. Link Edited March 4, 2015 by BillnutinHouston

YoloinOhio Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The spiller segment on NFLN where he just learns of the trade is tough to watch. He was all class though.
