stevewin Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Well - at least it's not on a beach... 1. CELEBRITY FLAG FOOTBALL (Jacksonville University's Milne Field, Feb. 5) NFL stars past (Roger Staubach) and present (Bills' Willis McGahee) go deep. Doug Flutie and The Flutie Brothers band provide halftime entertainment. SB events
coltrane34 Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Please tell me that he is not dumb enough to play in that game. Or at least that the coaching/medical staff is not stupid enoug to let him play. He has not even recovered fully from his injury. Come on wait a year until he is 100% at least.
Hawk Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Flashback to January 2003 is rushing through my head.....
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Well - at least it's not on a beach... SB events 227973 OMFG. That's so incredibly stupid.
PIZ Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 If something happens, we still have Travis Hunter on the roster.
Alaska Darin Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 The sky is falling, the sky is falling. Time to put WM in the plastic bubble.
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 The sky is falling, the sky is falling. Time to put WM in the plastic bubble. 227988 With all due respeck, yo, ol' boy jus had his knee fixed.
1billsfan Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Well - at least it's not on a beach... SB events 227973 Roger Staubach was an awesome quaterback. I don't think he's ever really has received his just due.
BillsFan Trapped in Pats Land Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 If he suffered a Robert Edwards knee injury in that game I might have to reconsider my Bills allegiance. As happy as I would be to be at a SB event, there is not enough $ in this world to make me sit through a Flutie Brothers halftime show.
coltrane34 Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 If something happens, we still have Travis Hunter on the roster. 227987 Who is travis hunter?
BeantownRob Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 WHAT? They need to build in safety nets into these guys' contracts not allowing this stuff, whether it's for a benefit or whatever. It would be our luck he gets hurt...... He has done a remarkable job rehabbing and has a great attitude from all that i read. I am looking forward to him running for 1200+ next season. With JP at the helm.
Alaska Darin Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 With all due respeck, yo, ol' boy jus had his knee fixed. 227989 I'm pretty sure I saw him playing in the NFL on Sundays this past season - proving that his knee is in fact, fixed. Believe it or not, it's actually important for athletes to remain in shape in the offseason. That means actually practicing cutting and avoiding obstacles while running fast. I guess he shouldn't be doing that either? Walter Payton used to do that by running everyday on a beach until he puked and then running hill sprints on sand dunes. You ever remember him being hurt? If this were after LAST season, there'd be a story here.

/dev/null Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Who is travis hunter? 228007 a couple years ago one of the coaches refered to travis henry as travis hunter in a press conference
buffaloboyinATL Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Who is travis hunter? 228007 You've obviously never heard a Don Criqui commentary. That is one of his many mis-nomers that he has labled on Bills players this year.
billsfanone Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 He should't even walk anywhere. He should have someone wheel him around on a handtruck. You never know...

I guess it happens...
HopsGuy Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 They had him on the news playing in a flag football game this past weekend. He had an event in his old Miami neighborhood for the kids. A bunch of Dolphins were there, too. I thought about Edwards, too. Then I thought about how Jim Kelly twisted his ankle playing golf one off-season. It happens.

The Pats made a nice effort to let him rehab and come back, but he wasn't even close. I think he had a cup of coffee with Miami after that.
