Dragonborn10 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Another stupid article on the consistency of the Patriots' success. You can write the same article in Indianapolis pre Manning neck injury. It is all Brady. There defense is better this year but it has been average or below for most of the decade. The moment Brady retires Bill is going to go screaming into retirement too. He knows he is a lot closer to the failure in Cleveland version of Bill than the Peter King version.
Proteus Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Hitting the booze a bit early this morning.

( oh that had joke potential ) ? They let Mallett go. Never sleep on the Demon that is Bill. ever.
NoSaint Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I'm assuming we will have the same criticisms of the lazy reporting when it starts to be about "the buffalo way"
BringBackFergy Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I'm assuming we will have the same criticisms of the lazy reporting when it starts to be about "the buffalo way" If we ever monopolize the AFC East like the Pats have done, I'll kiss Gerry Sullivan's ass.

Doc Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 It's not all Brady. Look how horrible the offense looked early in the year when they couldn't protect him.
FireChan Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 They have been a very fluid team with Brady at the helm. I think they've run 3-4 different offenses with him.
mead107 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 He was rusty. He us starting to miss more often. Good think he has Gronk
Mr. WEO Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 For a guy who "can't draft", BB has put together a decent D through the draft. And that's while letting walk players like Seymour, Spikes, and Talib on defense and Welker and Mankins (we read here that this move in particular would doom the O-line,as would the loss of the O-line coach...oops) on offense. Also on offense, they have played with a long list of has beens, castoffs, flashes in the pans at RB, a constant parade of dwarves and JAGs at WR and, recently, and one great TE.

He was actually well on his way to success in Cleveland until the day they announced they were moving to Baltimore and the team and fans both just gave up mid-season. There is a great documentary on it that the NFL network shows. Edited December 27, 2014 by Mark80
CardinalScotts Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 -minus the one Matt Cassell magical year. yep that one magical year.....its's been all Brady. Taking marginal players making them work, taking malcontents making them work. Covering for poor free agent moves and terrible drafts-- Brady is the reason New England has been so good.
NewEra Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Brady is one of the reasons. Bill Belicheck being the other main reason. To say its only Brady is just ignorant.
Nick the Greek Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I don't get it.. The Pats OWN the Bills. It's like it isn't fair. Yet our divisional rivals seem to beat em every once in awhile. The Fish got to em this year. It's mind boggling that the Bills are so inept against them.

It's mind boggling that the Bills are so inept against them. A lot of it has to do with how our teams are built. The Jets are a weak team but they are particularly strong against the vulnerabilities of NE while being adequate to match their dominating players/areas. The Dolphins are a team geared toward success in the AFCE. They can blitz everyone and are basically designed to beat teams in the AFCE. The Bills are an overall dominating defense with a bad offense that ends up blending together a team incapable of countering teams who are better balanced then ourselves. we are built for team strength and league success. we haven't changed our methods or principles to combat the patriots, though we keep some size at DB for Gronk, that is really it.
