Mission Accomplished was different for Bush. The objective was met. This is more of an open ended statement which makes it completely idiotic.

President "Not Self Aware" also came out with this beauty today also....................

President Obama told NPR that this nation is “less racially divided” under his leadership as president.

When asked if the U.S. is more racially divided than it was when he took office six years ago, the President responded
: “No, I actually think that it’s probably in its day-to-day interactions less racially divided.”

apparently, everyday is Opposite Day at the White House, does he really think he can Gruber the American public so easily ?

Based on what? His experiences in the White House?

Actually, I think POTUS would probably be an OK guy if I'd run into him around the quad about fifteen years ago. Today, however, he is the all-time poster child for the Peter Principle.

So for years the Dem's pilloried Bush's Mission Accomplished statement; now POTUS does the same damn thing? What a maroon.

Do we need a contest to guess the date of the next terrorist attack coming out of A'stan?

What are you even talking about? Obama's getting us out of a mess and Bush was celebrating getting us into one. Bush caused a huge media circus by having a victory celebration while landing on a carrier. It was outrageous. It was ignorant, its was arrogent and obnoxious, and shortly afterwards the resistant began killing out troops. This story is from the right wing propaganda mill.

So Bush was right that major combat operations were over in Iraq in 2003? People like you put Bush in power

I didn't vote, so explain that one to me again?

Major combat operations were over in Iraq in 2003. The problem that the Bush administration failed to address was the aftermath of combat. They gave too much authority to the former opposition and stripped the Sunnis of any real say. Bush thought he had it right for the long haul but miscalculated, while Obama doesn't give two schits about anything that doesn't have a bearing on his legacy.

Tell that to all (not literally) the vets that were wounded, maimed and or lived through major combat after that.

There was no major combat after that. I would guess that your Great Leader would characterize it as "workplace violence" or zealot misdeeds if it happened here.
