YoloinOhio Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Huge injury and huge game. SD is in a win-and-in scenario. KC needs to win and needs help but still alive. Chase Daniel could be the next Rob Johnson if he balls out! lol. Smith has a spleen injury. I wonder if KC's first TD of the YEAR to a WR will come at the hands of their backup. ESPN Stats & Info @ESPNStatsInfo 23m23 minutes ago Alex Smith to miss the Chiefs' Week 17 game vs. SD due to injury. Chase Daniel will make his 2nd career start (2013 Week 17, also vs. SD)
Doc Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 So even if the Bills beat Oakland and NE, they'd still have missed-out on the playoffs if the Chargers win, which looks like a given now. Oh well.

Oh well. from what I understand, it was the Bengals win over Denver that pretty much would sealed the deal on them not getting in regardless. Because of that win I think we had to have the Browns beat the Ravens this week. The game is in Baltimore and Connor Shaw is starting at QB from the Browns. He was just brought up from the PS this week. Tyler Thigpen is his backup. Edited December 26, 2014 by YoloinOhio

But yeah, the stars were not aligned for us.
YoloinOhio Posted December 26, 2014 Author Posted December 26, 2014 The following QBs are starting for teams still in playoff race- Connor Shaw, Chase Daniel, Ryan Lindley, Case Keenum

Talley56 Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I recall KC going to San Diego on the last week of the season last year playing all 2nd stringers (including Chase Daniel) and very nearly beating the Chargers who were playing a win or go home game.

YoloinOhio Posted December 26, 2014 Author Posted December 26, 2014 Weird .@Deadspin: It took four days for Alex Smith to find out he had a lacerated spleen: http://t.co/dfgHZogouW Even weirder is that the Bills D was not responsible for this. Lol
C.Biscuit97 Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 He didn't throw a td pass to a wr all year. Wow!
truth on hold Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Maybe KC gets their first WR TD this season.
