mannc Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 While the Watkins/Beckham comparisons will continue for years I am sure. OBJ was never going to be a Bill. It's been reported that the Bills would have taken Ebron @ 9 if they didn't move up. So the two scenarios to debate where the team is better off. 1. Sammy + no 2015 1st 2. Ebron + 2015 1st Please, not this argument again. "Our backup plan sucked, so just be thankful that we overpaid for Watkins." Of course, you are also assuming we would have taken Ebron and that Ebron sucks, neither of which is a sure bet.
Rob's House Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 (edited) So far it's looking like JFF. And Anthony Barr. I REALLY wanted no part of that guy. Edited December 27, 2014 by Rob's House

We're supposed to have confidence in the Watkins pick because it appears they over estimated the guy they would have taken had they not traded up? If anything their inability to properly assess Ebron gives me less confidence in their ability to assess the WR/TE position overall, including of course trading up for Watkins Edited December 27, 2014 by JTSP
The Dean Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 You guys do understand Sammy has been playing injured for virtually the entire season---don't you?
BADOLBILZ Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 You guys do understand Sammy has been playing injured for virtually the entire season---don't you? The way this offense was run the only way to make significant plays was thru Watkins and he's been a shadow of his early-season self since the bye week. If Sammy missed the first four games of the season like OBJ....the Bills would have been 0-4. It's easy to forget because he really tailed off after the groin injury but there probably has never been a Bills rookie that has had such an impact on wins and losses. If there was it would have been in the AFL days when so much was new. Closest equivalent burst-on-the-scene impact in my lifetime would have been Cornelius Bennett.
